Oh, i once used alkaline as emergency one. Only lasted me less than 20. And the recharging time so long. I think u get rechargeable ones better.

Not so sure about that, but IF it is discontinued, there are plenty of second hand units available.

Hey Mo0... been a while since I came online... no comment of the 55200 winning over the 75300... hehehe... but if you say the beercan wins over the 75300, then I'll agree... currently on the hunt for a beercan... tongue.gif might sell off my 75300 though to fund for my beercan... tongue.gif

55-200 wins because it's colours are brighter and more vibrant and it's less hunting compared to the 75-300. And it's sharper too. (:

If can, get a monopod with a ballhead. If not very hard to take from landscape to potrait.

Hey, anyone know where in God's name I can get a charger for my FM-500H (my infolithium)?

I lost mine and how my A200 is literally powerless... Anybody see it being sold over a Sony Centers? How much eh?

Sorry 'bout the request, but I've been hurled over to Kuala Lipis (God, the period buildings are fantastic) and Sony shops are not quite that accessible any more... sweat.gif

I only see before the charger that can charge 2 batteries at a go. That was at a Sony Center.

Ugh, that's not gonna be cheap... Plus the sad fact that I only have ONE battery. Oh well, great excuse to get another battery AND a batt grip LOL... biggrin.gif

Any Alpha Kakis even close to where I am over here in Lipis? I've been sent here pretty much for the long term, so finding more photo kakis over here wouldn't hurt... sweat.gif

I dont think u got any other choice. The sony catalog does not have the single charger. So go get an extra battery, and a vg laugh.gif
Maybe get a new kit? For the charger? tongue.gif

sifu,

is it better to get a monopod or those normal tripod?  nowadays too many gadget options to be choose from. blush.gif  icon_question.gif
Depends on your need. For landscape it'll be better if you get a tripod. For action / events shooting, a monopod would be a better choice

QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Jul 18 2009, 11:52 AM)
yeap it is good for portraits bro... but sooner or later you'd prolly realise that u wont shoot in f1.4 much so... the DOF is just too shallow... but the bokeh is awesome la biggrin.gif
There's no such thing as f1.4 is too shallow for portraits not even f1.0. It boils down to how well you are able to control and utilize the DOF. Once you mastered how to make use of the DOF, you'll love it smile.gif
