i know it was a suggestion but i want to learn the rational behind it.

even if i want to ask money from my parents, surely i can't just ask for it without expecting any questions.

i'm being adequately polite about this, to actually seek his feedback and opinion first.

if he doesn't wanna provide an explanation, it could have easily misconstrue as an "order" and not a suggestion anymore.

bring back to the Australian context, I'm heading to chadstone this coming Thursday or Friday.

I'm actually using a Vodafone microsim data for my iPad and after doing some personal trials between my optus and Vodafone, Vodafone has been consistently faster and more stable.

so I'll see if optus will honor it's 30 days-no-questions-asked policy (and if Vodafone has stocks in store). if both conditions are satisfied, I'm definitely porting over to Vodafone.

its financially wrong to pay more for optus in return for a more inferior network.

furthermore, the great thing is Vodafone cap includes international calls and I can call 3 and Vodafone users FOC!

telstra would have been great but it isn't proportional to the life of a feeble student like myself.

erm quite simple actually.

1. during the midnight launch, (apparently) telstra didn't offer 12 months contract.

2. telstra's caps do not include international texts and calls; they are on top of the cap.

3. it will set me back at AUD150 just to unlock my iPhone 4

optus' caps include international texts

but if I need to call internationally, i either use Skype or nimbuzz.

without any intention to scare you, but you might actually get prosecuted if they want to press charges.

you are technically damaging their properties.

so i will try to paint a bigger picture for you to see, based on your arguments.

X sees a door of a house unlocked (an obvious exploit since it's the house owner's fault for not locking it), and X goes in and vandalise the properties inside.

if X gets caught, does X gets away scot free by offering to pay for the damage caused?


X witnesses a bank robbery based on a picture and finds out that robber gets away.

X attempts to rob a bank by himself and when caught, X claims that the previous bank robber walks away scot free.

i wouldn't be surprised if apple will start to take legal actions against such perpetrators.

i don't know what is stopping them anyway.

shops are well equipped with CCTVs nowadays and it merely takes a 'desire' to action on them.
