about ur time machine...can i ask what ebclosure did u use to house ur hdd?
and what connection did u use? USB or FW400 or FW800?
if u use some cheapo enclosure...the probability of hdd death is higher...i m not so sure bcoz of wat...
maybe bcoz of the heat...
in my case ive tried using USB and FW400...
both hang while backup...and mac stopped responding!
after a few times...i gave up on time machine!
