dude, i dont think by keeping quiet, ppl will think the stock is running out and therefore ppl rush to book. they r keeping quiet bcoz not many ppl are complaining about shortage of stock. In fact, they guarentee for everyone that books at maxis centre. so y do they need to even come out and explain anything?

Hmm about the confirmation letter thingy, what about ppl who walk straight in and book on the spot like me, i dun think it's required rite?

Another thing is, does maxis impose any charge for payment with cc? can anyone confirm this? coz i dun want to bring so much $$$.

I kinda knew this will happen to Machines and that's why I paid mine at Maxis centre. With only 11,000 to spare, I would say Maxis has to be very careful during the distribution.

Anyway, no point crying/ranting now since there's nothing anyone can do about it. Just try your luck tmr.

Well guys, no point calling here and there and panic, if there's stock then there is, if not too bad.

Just before you pick up tmr, give them a call or something, rather than you go and scold them since they cant make the iphone appear out of the thin air.

I'm just expecting Maxis to be a little bit professional when dealing with this situation, rather than keeping quiet as it certainly does not help.

And obviously they have to keep their promise that (based on their FAQs) everyone who books before 24th shall collect the iphone by 31st. If a big company like Maxis cannot keep a promise as such, we demand some sort of compensation.

Just called maxis one u, my iphone will be waiting for me even though i'm collecting at nite tmr, i assume enough stock for everyone there.

the guy just asked me for my name, color of iphone and either 16gb/32gb, after than he ran thru his list then he said it's reserved for me. i asked whether i could collect at nite since i'm working during the day and dun bother to take leave, he said no prob.

Anyway i listened to radio this morning and I heard they are promoting the iphone 3Gs at MV maxis centre, i assume they have more than enough stock to do a road show there.

Final reminder guys, pls pls call the shop where u r collecting before you go there, otherwise you'll end up stranded there doing nothing. I know you want to be one of the first to get your hands on it but since they set the rule that they will call you, then they'll call you.

My theory on y there's shortage of 32gb is tat it is new compared to 16gb, i assume apple can just use the 16gb 3g phone casing and most of the internals and change to 16gb 3gs, whereas 32gb needs entirely different casing and memory.

You can, probably 1-3 weeks from now, coz the stock is limited and priority goes to those who has pre-booked earlier.

Not sure whether it has been said before, i just called maxis regarding the free 500mb data for hotlink. If you are still waiting like me, please dial *136# to activate the 3g account.

Anyone here can confirm when and how do we know we edi got the free 500mb data, i havent received any sms from maxis/hotlink regarding this matter.

previously i called up and the guy said it should be activated and asked me to instead activate my 3g account by calling *136#, and after my 3g is activated, there is one sms saying i can use the 3g at a rate of 1kb/sen. no sms on free 500mb data.
