Really depends if you feel the game is worth doling out cash for. Personally, considering DotA isn't 'free' per-se and HoN is an actual commercial game supported by a development company i.e. not something done as a hobby (no offense to Icefrog who does an amazing job throughout 6.xx) I'd say it's worth it.

The media assets alone are worth a tip of the hat. Appreciation of art forms, etc.

for me i will just wait till official retail version.
Will look at the cash charge, balances, glitch fixed in the game before i switch to HoN from Dota

finally tried out a round of 5 vs 5.

a bit laggy at times but still playable.

didnt know how to play lolz

Weird i can't connect to the server

At first i got 'bad data'

Then i reinstall then update again. When log in server can but cannot enter channel

Any ideas

Hang once just now but other than time playable

Just this thing keep bugging me 'Disconnect from chat server, Reconnecting'

It seems to be a repeating cycle that every time they hand out beta invites servers (especially the chat servers) start dying under the increased load until they hook up additional infrastructure and hotfix the clients to make use of them.

Dunno about client crashes though. I've never experienced a single client crash that wasn't related to the chat servers, and the game runs surprisingly smooth connecting to USWest servers which is amazing considering everything Internet in Malaysia gets shitflung by Streamyx.

I'm still amazed by the smoothness of the game although the ping 300++ (rarely lags)

No this is entirely S2 Games. The reason for the confusion was of a blog post by Icefrog stating he was contacted a few years back for S2 for permission to make a game in the likeness of DoTA. That was that.

Guys here's a bunch of "information I heard somewhere" that I'll randomly spout in the hopes that everyone is as clueless as I am therefore making me look well informed. It's a great tactic guaranteed to work on Malaysian forums!

no lag 5 vs 5 with some pubbies.

later we try 3 vs 3

no lag.
