@killer, yesterday went pass the road, manage to find both Xin & Wai Heng shop ... they r at the same row la ...
20 shops lots ... around 15 is car workshop ... out of 15, around 10 is for exhaust (summore all the same dark yellowish exhaust logo) ..

very stiff la .. when drive pass, all the workers stand outside waiting for customers ... wan get down go 1 by 1 ask also:
1. tired + sweaty coz the row of shop lots around 100m++
2. drowned by saliva coz too many shops sure all talk alot
...

where is federal i also not sure le .... hahaha

i also have the same problem, took it to check when taking out the brakes, damn alot of dust came out and my mech say no problem on the pads ... but still better to check coz might be something wrong ....

errr, i checked when i swap my tires so its FOC since the wheel is taken out for balancing ...
after removing the dust(the floor have a small pile of black powder), not much sound liao ... once awhile still got lo ...
u take go tire shop and ask wat is the problem, but don do anything, ask for price and wat may cause it ... if the mech good and say check FOC then let him check ..

@adrain, no money get GPS la ... those gurmin/garmin/germin set too expensive for me liao ... worst is print out google map and follow .. lolx

about the 'urine' smell ... LOLx .. my mom's old car last time also got .. summore found 2 small baby cicak stay under the bonnet (wonder if they got heat proof) ... so we conclude is the cicak run around, no toilet and pee at the compressor ... hahaha

serious: i think its the hose problem, too old, melted or something (ur bro go pee at the engine bay )

alot of SC also have this problem, u have no choice but try to befriend with the manager and call them lookout ur car for u ... or u just stand guard and watch over them servicing ur car ....

its normal it happened to my sis's myvi at her 5k service last january ... lucky my mom was there, scooted the whole perodua center and the manager quickly change the whole bonnet (bonnet have a large scratch + dented), the manager say it was us who bang it, then my mom said this "if it was us to bang it, wont u be running to us telling us to change when our car just arrive?" ... everyone in the center was looking at the manager "dimalukan kao kao", heck the manager don even know how to speak english properly and my mom doesnt understand much malay so my mom just bomb till they agree to change...

if u r brave enough, take ur car and service outside but u will void ur warranty ... if u have enough patience, stand there and look at them (too bad u r not P2 coz max service 1hr else all free) ...

felt sorry for u Hypro ... maybe u can try search around and try out other SC (i am sure the booklet or watever got all SC imprinted) ..
when u step in, take picture in front of them, and tell them wat happen at the previous SC so they would try to avoid .. else just bomb them ...

@jiayong, i see u had read the link i posted regarding the air intake & exhaust mod guide ... try read the whole thing, everything is explained in it ... further questions u can either ask in that thread or here ...

4g92 is 1.6 SOCH ... then 4g91 is 1.5 DOCH ...
don think 4g92 got DOCH, maybe got but i havent see b4 ...

maintenance / FC very subjective ...
both is similiar, bad luck bad lemon then sure very bad ...
if both also in good condition, wont wary much ...
so far i heard no complaints from these 2 engine ....

performance then go for exhaust, change to 4-2-1 extractor, 1.7"+/- pipings, midbox ....
get a good drop-in air filter, if u driving manual and like power sound can go for open pod ...
fine tune ur engine ... get a better engine oil + spark plugs ...

yea picta ... i also wan see !! .. haha ...
i wan find HC ori light weight rims la .... duno where to find .. .. lol

jiyong, i think u r saying the power very noisy one is the muffler .. muffler no need change (its more for cosmetic than performance) ...
FYI, muffler is the end of exhaust, which is also the round 'box' behind the exhaust tip ...
Open Pod is an air filter ... mushroom type ... straight suck in open air while drop-in air filter will have a air box to fit the filter in ...
wat most ppl would suggest is
4-2-1 extractor + 1.7" +/- piping + bullet/midbox = 450 to 1k +/-
Good drop-in air filter = 70 to 200 bucks +/-
semi to fully synthetic engine lubricant = 85 to 200 +/-
good spark plugs = 35(?...cata should be happy) to 150 +/-
(all pricing are just an estimate, might wary alot or abit to original price)
results = better pickup, good speed, soon to be monster ..
wat year is ur car? ... injection or carbie? ...

@maniam, last time i tried b4 Elf petrol injector cleaner ... i can say ... no feel one ... (might even the one that caused my Injection Lights to lid... not confirm though, just my opinion) .. maybe u can try to confirm, some mech say its good to use it once awhile to wash away carbon sticking to the injectors... some i heard they also not sure .. lol

@shin, help me ask ask 4g15 4-2-1 extractor + piping with bullet .. how much + installation ... if u r free la, just wanna a rough figure ..... tq
and got trade-in old steel or not?

This happened to me ...
Was driving to KL from Ipoh on the North-South Highway, drove around 30mins @ 110kmph+/- then the 1st occurance of my Injection Lights came on ... Car felt no power (even padel down also cant speed up) ... terrified then straight stop my car at the Gua Tempurong rest stop, off the engine and called up my mom.. at that time takda regular mech yet so naturally i called my mom.. haha ... told her about the incident then i start engine which was running fine and quickly ran to KL b4 anything else happen ... that time lucky killer got tell me some info about the 'aladin light' and got some relief ..
The next day, mom called back after talking to her regular mech, where she send her 30 yrs old merc to ... the mech told her not to use V-power and say V-power not good for some wira engine coz her daughter also have the same problem of aladin lights lid up ....
Of course, i doubt its the petrol problem so my conclusion is (coz after using the injector cleaner till petrol empty, i refilled with shell vpower and at that time no problem which is a week later) ... don mix fuel injector cleaner with v-power ...
(1st occurance happen 2 weeks after fitting in vpower)...
anyway, more info on the injector cleaner ... max a year can only use twice ... so maybe wash away too much carbon then got problem and my sensor light up the aladin lamp ...
