Flying cars : Speed : faster Stability : lower Risks / danger : higher Price : higher Convenience : higher Traffic Jam : no Crime rate : higher / easy to escape Normal cars : Speed : slower Stability : higher Risks / danger : lower Price : lower Convenience : lower Traffic Jam : yes Crime rate : lower so, what's your opinion ? which one will you choose ??? and the reasons ? Come here and discuss This post has been edited by CuteSanSan: Jun 20 2009, 03:06 PM

IN which altitude can these cars fly? how far above ground? any regulations?
if car A drive 500 meter above ground, and car B drive 600 meter above ground... suddenly car B batery died.. it will fall on car A and both the car will fall and hit car C which is travelling normal on the ground.

Land based cars would still be the more practical option at least for now. With current aviation propulsion method. Strapping propeller/jet on a car isn't practical not to mention dangerous. Not exactly easy to navigate in between buildings and 90 degree turn if you're flying around really really fast. I know people who can't navigate land based car properly, what's more one that's flying around really fast Taking human out of the equation sounds like the right thing to do, but automation are meant to assist, not replace human(Which is why we still have pilot on aircraft, autopilot on aircraft can actually fly the entire plane by itself), at the end human still need to learn how to 'drive' a flying car. Oh and of course, flying require more energy and failure of simple component simply mean you'll crash and burn At least in car, not all failure are catastrophic.

QUOTE(CuteSanSan @ Jun 20 2009, 03:00 PM) assume that s in Stars Wars still the same scenario would happen. We are not talking about outer space yet right? So, the same thing could still happen. if you need to stop on mid air, will the car drop straight away? coz bernoulli law doesn't apply anymore when the car stop. Meaning it will need some anti-gravity mechanism to make it stand still. or.. a rocket thruster to produce downward force? waste of energy only.
