I'll have to disagree on this one. Nintendo has a track record of memorable and lovable NPC's. In the trailer, I see some interesting NPCs around. The fat lady with a cat looks interesting.

The dark theme seems to only be applied to dungeons, and it's seems to be the defacto theme everytime you're morphed into a wolf. Other than that, the world that Link lived in is quite vibrant as you could see from the forest clips and other interesting scenes.

EDIT: Here's an excerpt from an interview with Eiji Aunoma:

IGN: So is Link's transformation based on a day/night system?

Eiji Aonuma: No, actually in this game when Link enters the Twilight Realm he transforms into the wolf. I think there may have been some inspiration for the schematic elements of the moon rising and someone transforming into the wolf originally, but that's actually not part of the game system.

AS you can see, it's quite apparent that in wolf form, link is always in the Twilight Realm. I don't think that anyone would expect or be wanting a twilight realm in psychedelic textures.

On the cell-shaded approach of wind-waker, as much as I liked that approach, I cannot find much fault in the new and gorgeous iteration. I'm sure I'd like this one as much as Ocarina of Time or Majora Mask.

Do you now that fishing is back and that the gay Tingle is gone (Aww...I kinda like tingle)! Also, where's Navi? In wind-waker, the boat kinda act like Navi, could the new skull-kid riding on link-wolf be the new Navi?

Some interesting things taken from an interview with Eiji Aunoma:

IGN: Is Ganon in the game and if so, what part does he play?

Eiji Aonuma: Well, each piece of the Triforce has a relationship to each of the main characters and Ganon is one of those. So in that sense Ganon will have a relationship to this game. But as to how he might appear or what he might be doing, we're not going to reveal that just yet

IGN: Can the wolf and Midna separate at any time or are they glued together when Link enters the Twilight Realm?

Eiji Aonuma: In the Twilight Realm when Link is a wolf, he and Midna will always be together. Gradually, as Twilight gets pushed back and light is revealed, Link will transform back into human form and then there would be a partnership between he and Midna in a slightly different sense.

More intersting stuff from IGN:

# When Link clears an area in the Twilight Realm, it changes back to normal Hyrule and he returns to human form.
# Midna also undergoes a change when she exits the Twilight Realm. "If you go with the strictest definition of exist then yes, she can exist in normal Hyrule," explains Eiji Aonuma. "But there is a certain kind of subtlety to that which I can't reveal at this point in time." Some gamers have speculated that Midna is in fact Link's shadow, which comes to life in Twilight.
# Ganon is in the game and very likely the main antagonist.
# The hero can dive and swim underwater, which suggests there will be a Water Temple.
# Zelda is in the game. She is the cloaked figure seen in videos. She wears this mourner's robe to mourn what she sees as the death of Hyrule at the hands of the Twilight Realm.

Ah....Sunken temple.....One of the most frustrating yet strangely satisfying dungeon ever. A replica many times bigger than that in Ocarina of time will definitely be loaded with tonnes of nasty puzzles.

Neither do I.

But if you asked me how Star War is chronicled, I would say:
Episode 4, 2, 1, 3, 5 and 6. tongue.gif

Yo!!! Good to hear there are so many zelda fans around here. hope i'm not too late to join in the forum...it's getting very quiet i see..
My first zelda game was the NES version.. the original legend of zelda... fell in love with it since then....i still remember there were a few episodes of zelda cartoon in the super mario bro super show... and captain N... how many years ago was that? whew... i'm getting old already...

but i didn't get to play 3D zelda (i feel dizzy playing 3D games) ... and i dont' really like the idea of emulators , so i'm still waiting to get a cheap gamecube so that I can play all the zelda games tat i've missed... but I love the 2D versions... the most unforgettable ones were ' a link to the past' and ' link's awakening' .. they are the best!

i see the wind waker version is very southpark like... is it good??

anyone here owns an original gba version of a link to the past?? how big is the booklet inside?? is it as big as the one for SNES?? i think ALTTP has the best artwork ... thinking of getting the original catridge..

i didn't play wind waker, but i've finished the minish cap (great!! must play)... i've played all the 2D zelda games except link's adventure...

just saying that i still like ALTTP and Link's awakening more ...maybe because i was still young when i played those...

is singapore selling original zelda oracle of seasons and ages games?pretty hard to find.. all i can find here are pirated stuff... i saw toys r us selling last time for over 260 ringgit per catridge.. if i buy both that means over 500!! mana boleh!! doh.gif
