Actually, I dont mind if they move it into next year. I like games that take their time sometimes.

But if they announce that the game jumps to Rev instead........

I hope it will not be bound for Rev coz if it is for Rev then the new Zelda stated by Prez Iwata is TTP and not a new one. It'll probably take more than a year for the next Zelda to make an appearance for Rev since Nintendo have confirm that Eiji Aonuma will also be in-charge for the next Zelda, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think he can direct 2 Zelda game at the same time. Big headache by then, for Eiji.

What does FF9 got to do with Zelda forum? BTW, I not purposely try to provoke you & since your "IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME, THEN YOU ARE MY ENEMY!" motto is a little bit on the dangerous side... heheheh.

I think you mistakenly post your question on the wrong thread.

BTW, to answer your Q, both FF7 & FF8 have random battle (not so sure about FF8 coz I don't like that series very much). Frustrating? Nah, if you like to lvl up your character (like myself), then you wouldn't mind the random battle. FFX also got random battle, some part almost frequently, but if you equipped a special item, than u can avoid any random battle.

FF9 is my fav, which include FF7 (my very 1st FF exp), FFX, FFT, FF5, & FF6. Diff ppl, diff opinion.

Another Square game that i prefered was Chrono Trigger. Not all that fond of Cross. But in trigger i liked the battles because almost always you could avoid fighting by moving around very visible monsters.

rash: you worried about TTP going rev too huh? i admit I have not been reading most of the specs on the Rev, but for it to jump to the next platform, the GC chip and the Rev chip have to be direct chipset descendents. Otherwise, it would be a "rebuild from scratch" scenario. I dont think its all that likely.

Never did finish Chrono Trigger (using emu to play last time). Played until where it took place in the future & all the area become savaged. Nice game though.

This type of battle style can be found on GC RPG such as Paper Mario 2, Tales of Symphonia & Baten Kaitos.

Yup, it's because the after the end of fiscal year of Mac 2005 announcement thingy. Wasn't it's already too late to announce the release date for TP after that? Maybe Nintendo will really release this game when the Rev finally launch?

Can't wait for any announcement by Nintendo at the game convention in Germany...if there is any although Matt already told that there will be no announcement from Nintendo..but there may be surprises right?...better stop myself from typing before i make myself looks stupid.. laugh.gif

Chrono trigger must have been the first RPG i ever finished...... Ah.... good times...... I was so young then........

Ah. Paper Mario 2. Gotta love a paper plumber pompously parading around pummeling poor plunderers of precious stones..........

I'm tired. I try to be funny when i'm tired.

I guess everyone needs a healthy dose of zelda and we are all missing our fix since "The Minish Cap"

Best not to speculate. But cant help but speculate..... Well, if they breach the release date past next year's E3 then i would begin to worry. It would be bad form to try and put up a show for a star game aiming for the GC when they would obviously be geared to show off the more up to date Next-Gen console.

New information regarding Zelda. Just some updated news from NOA's Perrin Kaplan. It's still scheduled to ship for GameCube (for now).

I'm one of those who are quite disappointed with FF9 not because it's cartoonish.. it's because there's nothing new in FF9, the storyline is pretty plain.. it's like "Oh, been there, done that" kinda situation...
My favourite is still FF6 and FF7. Great storyline and full of surprises. They are the best!! FF8 was not bad too.
But the worse for me is FFX2.... like playing Charlie's Angels in FF world, very girlish. Anyway.. i enjoy the bikinis in hot spring part though... drool.gif (those who played should know what i'm talking about)

ok.. let's get back to Zelda... IMO the artwork of Zelda in Twillight Princess is really really NICE!! She looks so... so... beautiful and matured... i wonder how princess zelda will look like in bikini....drool.gif

apparently Twilight Pricess will be the LAST ZELDA GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

QUOTE
Eagerly-awaited Gamecube title The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will mark the end of an era for the hit series, according to a transcript of a recent radio interview with Shigeru Miyamoto.

"This will be, without a doubt, the last Zelda game as you know it in its present form," Miyamoto is quoted as saying.

He declined to reveal any more details as to how the series will be reborn, but did go on to assure fans that Twilight Princess will be absolutely aces: "Our goal was to make the best Zelda game ever. The most rich, satisfying and [melancholic].

"I worked on it personally, moreso than Wind Waker. I haven't invested as much into any game as I have this one," Miyamoto said.

"We've really improved it in just a few months. Everything's coming together, much quicker. We may have some last minute ideas," he added.

And it's not just Zelda who'll be getting a next-gen makeover - everyone's favourite Italian plumber is set to star in a new game that will "surprise many people," according to Shigsy.

"Mario is and always has been a concept title from his birth. We are always looking for new ways of playing with him, manipulating him, to create something new and unique. We're in the midst of preparing something special for his future, something never before seen.

"Give us the benefit of the doubt. I think we'll present you with a new way to have fun."

Miyamoto also revealed that Mario is getting a brand new sidekick, but kept firmly schtum on the details. However, he did confirm that Mario 128 is simply a working title for the forthcoming game.

"Of course we will rename it, obviously. That won't be the only surprise of next year though.

"Mario 128 played a large role in the Revolution's conception, much like Mario 64 in its time. But we won't just be focusing on Mario. We're working on some very impressive games which push interactivity to the max. Games of a new era," Miyamoto said.

"We will be revealing many details soon... While our gamers are sleeping, we're busy thinking up new ideas. But while they're playing, we're playing as well," he concluded.

Let's just hope they're not too knackered to finish Twilight Princess - the game was recently delayed until next year, with a Nintendo bigwig saying it won't appear until April at the earliest. Roll on 2006...

Uhm, it think they just mean that after this, Zelda , and even the Mario franchise, are gonna be revamped to a different formula instead of what has been done in the past......

I dont think its gonna be the LAST zelda game. Findings suggest that the following things have to happen first:

1) Nintendo announces that they will no longer be making Pokemon sequels. Satoru Iwata says "There is no point flogging this dead horse."
2) Shigeru Miyamoto renounces all worldly wants and retreats into seclusion to become an ascetic monk. Quoted saying "I just can't keep up with you young whippersnappers anymore. You and your tee vee games."
3) Mother 3 is finally announced with proper screenshots and promises more rabid crows and angry ladies than the previous installments.
