If your cat is confirmed suffering from fungal then you should buy the shampoo called 'Malaseb'.
If its a kitten, bathe it at least 3 times a week with Malaseb.
Wet its body with warm water, shampoo with Malaseb and leave it for 10 minutes.
Make sure that your kitten does not lick the shampoo as its poisonuos.
After that rinse and blow dry your kitten.
If its an adult then bathe it once a week with Malaseb.
Do this until you start to see little fur growing back.
You will also need to mop your whole house with clorox diluted with water especially where your kitten/cat loves to sleep and play.
This is to kill the fungal spores.
If you have other cats in the house, its best to bathe them with Malaseb too as a prevention.

Added on November 21, 2010, 8:11 pm

That's because your cat is still not used to its new surroundings and also because its separated from its other siblings.
Caging her wont solve the problem that's why she is screaming like you want to kill her.
Its because she is not used to being caged.
You will need to be patient with your new kitten.
Spend time playing and talking to it.
Give her lots of cuddle and slowly she will warm up to you.
Maybe she is not pooing because she has not eaten.
Usually cats in new surroundings will not eat for days.
This will usually last about a week or less.
Be patient.

i see...
she have drink some milk, but not eating any cat food
when i let her out,she meowing too >.<

today will go bek and try to find her mom
hope she can get bek to her mother..

Hi Mr. Ez,

Infact most of the cat lovers are now opting for environmental friendly cat litter.
You can find many brands in the market although some are expensive and difficult to find.
There are brands like Oko Plus, Breders Celect, etc.
We a group of cat lovers are now using a brand called Katty and they have this flushable woody.
Its made of 100% wood, semi clumping, flushable and its 90% odorless!
Initially I had my doubts about using it but once used, I am not changing again.
You can purchase 45 litter (25kg) breeder bag for RM75.00 or 10 litter (4 kg) for RM27.00.
Please visit www.petfinder.com.my under thread Blackwood and you can read all about benefits of using flushable woody.

If you cant find its mother please feed it with wet food.
If it still can't eat on its own. mix the wet food with a bit of water and then put it in the syringe and the slowly syringe feed her.
Between roughly how old is the kitten?
*
din saw a cat's mother around my company >.<
these 2 days i feed her with cat's milk mix with the cat foods,
but she juz drink some milk, not much
din touch the food

now i leave her at home, dunno will scream like hell or not =.=

Hi!! Badt, the kitten is scared of the new place, separated from her meowwmy. That is the reason she was meowing all the time. You need to reassured her everything is ok by petting her more often. Gently petting and stroke her. You can put the litter box inside her cage. See if she know how to use or not the litter box. Let her settle down first. The first 2 weeks will be like this. Be patient. Kitten her age is like baby. Always crying looking for their meowmmy. We must play our role as their surrogate parents.
*
thank for your help happy.gif

i know that she was looking for her mommy..
i try play and hug her, but she dun like, keep meowing >.<

i juz scared my housemate dun like her
will discus with them tonite
but if she keep meowing for 2 weeks... i scared i can't tahan too >.<

now i'm worry about her not poo for 2 days
tonite will buy littler box for her

Hi Gecko8,

Here is a link where you can find all the Vets listed in the whole of Malaysia.

http://forums.petfinder.my/showthread.php?t=1112

I usually go to Dr. Teoh which is located in Pandan Indah.  He is very thorough and detailed when checking our cats and kittens.
Charges are also reasonable.  thumbup.gif

Added on November 22, 2010, 2:53 pm

Kittens aged 1 month plus can already eat wet food.
Try to find Science AD (wet food) from the Vet.
Cats seldom resist this.
Just give half a teaspoon of the wet food as they eat little but on frequent basis.
*
ok, noted down

the doctor juz said can feed her wet food, but din recommend any brand
so i simply mix milk and cat food >..<
can I found this in petshop? like petsmore

actually she still nid milk now?

Hi Weewee,

The Munchkin babies will be up for adoption FOC.
No payment is needed.
All it needs is a responsible owner who will love it and take care of it.
Other than that a regular update of the cats progress (once a month)
Also it has to be neutered, vacinated etc.
Potential adopters will be screened.

Added on November 22, 2010, 7:01 pm

Hi Badtzcarol,

Once the kitten is used to you.
It will definitely stop mewing.
If you want to get a litter box, go to the plastic shop and buy a plastic container big enough to fit the kitten.
It will cost around RM6.00.
Then go and buy some cat litter.
Pour into the box and then tear a few strips of newspaper and put on top of the litter box.
The kitten will know what to do.
Where do you want to block it?
Usually put a wire mesh around the grill to stop the cat or kitten to go out.
*
Thank a lot CutiePie!
i juz bought some wet food for her, but not the brand that you recommend..coz vet that nearby my house already close when i bek >.<

QUOTE(Listiani @ Nov 23 2010, 09:25 AM)
Morning Badzt.

First of all, I must congrats you for being a kind hearted person picking up stray from the street. Not many people are willing to do that. The reason why we see many strays on the street be cats or dogs because pet owner are irresponsible. Therefore it is very important for every pet owner or people to think twice before taking in pets. To have pets is a life long responsiblity. It is like you have children. In your case, I must say situation doesn't look good because you have house mate. They may like cats but maybe they don't have the responsible thoughts as the pet owner. I have heard enough stories on housemate forgot to close the door and their housemate's cat venture out and never return. But all hope are not lost yet. We wouldn't know if we don't try, right?

In your case, maybe the kitten doesn't know how to use the litter box because normally kitten follow what their meowmmy does. Kitten see kitten do. You have to teach her how to use the litter box. She's not peeing yet?? If she did, you can wipe her pee with tissue and put it inside the litter box. When she sniff her own pee, she will know that is her place to pee.

2ndly, you said you want to block her?? Where do you keep her? In your room or at living hall?? Kitten at the age are very curious and they won't stop venture to each corner of your house. Let her. If you are working, keep her in your room to limit her movement and also to prevent her from any injury. Normally this is meommy's job to prevent their kitties from any injury. When you are back home. Play with her, pet and hug her. Let her jalan jalan all over your house.
*
Thank Listiani

yaya..i'm worry my housemate too
but until now they are ok with her
when i go work i keep her in cage in other empty room, but the room is messy , so i keep her in cage

before and after i work, i will let her come out and walk around in my room

i planned to block all wire or toxic things in my room since i can't stop her explore

i'll move out from this house soon, so next time she can stay at living room, bigger area for her biggrin.gif

she are peeing, i put some newspaper with her pee in the litter box, when i wanna teach her how to cover her pee with sand, she juz wanna go out and play =.=

Guffy is such a cutie  biggrin.gif  She looks like my Slyvester.

Ok, good to hear that she will have better and bigger house after this. I think to stop her from walking around is almost imposibble. What you can do is remove anyhing dangerous within her reach. She can't climb so high yet so put everything poisnous, dangerous inside your cabinet or higher places.

You can wipe her pee with tissue and roll it into ball like. Put it in the sand, move her paw like what cat normally do when they bury their waste. But you must allow Guffy to sniff it first. I did that to my kitten when I found them crawling outside my apartment with their meowmmy. It seems that somebody throw meowmmy cat and her kittens out from their house.
*
look like have to redecorate my room ,lol
ok.. try at nite again

if she still not pooing, i think i'll take her to vet

any recommended vet nearby setapak/ danau kota?

Added on November 23, 2010, 1:20 pmWhen they are already 1 month plus, they can take wet food already. You can feed them wet/canned food kitten formulated or kibbles for kitten mix with replacement milk. For now, you don't ned any medication yet coz they are still too young. I will advise you from time to time. you can pm or email me at macgyver_june@yahoo.com for further questions.

Congrats!! Congrats!! Finally, huh?? Have not poo yet?? Maybe u shud bring her to the vet. If she's eating as usual, she shud poo as well.

For kitten, you can feed them as many as they want because like children, they are in the process of growing up. Need all the nutrition. Just make sure the food you feed her is kitten formulated especially the kibbles/biscuits. She must be very  hungry because roaming around in the rain.

yayaya! really happy >.<

Hi Nash,

Check out my website :-

http://felixthecats.weebly.com

I am selling Blackwood and the prices are stated there.

If cat has kutu or mites, they will be scratching everywhere.
Also they will have red bite marks on their bodies.

There is an article on fleas under the health section in my website.
Maybe you can read and know all about it from there.

Yes, that is right.
Also, it stops your cat from scratching your furniture.
But if you are a bit on the imaginative side you can even create your own scratch post.
Just find a use plank or wood.
Go to the hardware shop and find the sisal rope.
Wind the rope around the wood (make sure all the wood surface is covered, as we don't want splinters) and tadaa... you have your own scratch post.
I am lazy so I just buy  tongue.gif

Just pay for the postage charges and additional RM5.00 for the cellotape and brown paper for wrapping the box.

Yes, you are right.
Persian features are flat.
Usually for show, the higher the nose the better.
People call high peak (high nose) and low peak (slightly dropped)
To tell high peak is the nose position is just in between the eyes.
Drop nose means that the nose is below the eyes like normal cats.

Added on November 25, 2010, 11:41 am

Cats fur will usually drop just like human hair.
That is why it is very important for us to feed them with premium food to avoid shedding of fur.
Low quality food which has high content of salt will cause hair to drop.

Cats also tend to shed fur when they are :-

1) stressed and frightened
2) not getting quality/premium food
3) hot weather
4) skin problem

That is why those who have long haired cats must groom their cats on a regularly basis to avoid the fur sticking to clothes or dropping on to the floor.

If you want to maintain a good and healthy and shiny fur, give your cats supplement e.g. fish oil.  This will make your cats coat shiny, healthy, less dropping and soft.

I don't recommend that you feed her with wet food all the time as she will get used to it and wont want to eat kibbles at a later stage.
What you can do is buy RC Baby Cat 34 as the kibbles size is small and easy to bite for those kittens age 4 months and below.
Once the teeth are strong then you can change to any other brand of kitten food until Guffy reaches one year old and then you can change to adult food.
You can still give her wet food but maybe as a weekend treat like I do to my cats.

will go pet shop later laugh.gif
