zazaza2009, Whilst it's nice to walk around in a Platinum card

It might be a bit tight if it's the wrong size? smile.gif or maybe you mean with a platinum card smile.gif

U may want to be v careful with it.  CCs can put u into a lot of trouble (but as U have pointed out, you know your boundaries) - I honestly do NOT know what HLB was thinking in giving you RM30k CL when your annual income reported was RM60k.  Personally, I think it's wrong of the bank to do so but since it's been approved, enjoy it biggrin.gif

Banks are chasing easy loans now, lending has pretty much dried up. Also they look at your bank balance and actual net value. If your salary is 60K, but your total net worth is a million or more, I'm sure they would be more than happy to send you a plat smile.gif

Also, HLB will soon be giving you extended CLs - and when this card has reached his first year mark, feel free to start your own Platinum collection.

A lot of wasted money though, but hey, some people have spent more on their hobbies.

What Gen-X was trying to say is that most of us here doesn't see CC fulfilling our "Social Needs" (Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs) hence we look to benefits more.  It could be different on your end but honestly, if ur friends only wanna be your friends cause U got a Plat, these friends are better off not having tongue.gif

Now if they only wanted to be your friends 'cos your salary was high, that would be different biggrin.gif (j/k)

Err~ plastic or titanium doesn't mean anything. It should be not used to judge people for respect or status~

LOL.. it's bad, very bad, omg you might have to live on the street or something LOL biggrin.gif

PS. Yea, debt is BAD. If you can't afford a HOUSE you will just have to LIVE on the STREET. If you SUFFER A LOT just to DIE with lots of MONEY then you WIN the GAME biggrin.gif

(I apologize if this reminds you of anyone you've read on here smile.gif )

Simplified equation

Total Annual Income (X)
-----------------------------  = Exposure Ratio
Total Credit Limit (Y)

Exposure Ratio < 0.3 means Over-exposed (Bad)

Example

You earn RM150,000 a year and your total credit limit = RM100,000
150000/100000 = 1.5 (Well under exposed)

You earn RM36,000 a year and your total credit limit = RM150,000
36000/150000 = 0.24 (Over exposed)
