My gold card from HLB has been upgraded to VISA Platinum a few days ago with given a RM30k credit limit. My annual income is just slightly over the 60k mark.

The terms of the card is free for life for primary and one sub card. Terms is just swipe 2 time per month. The card look nice with the eagle logo situated at the back of the card instead at the front for gold and classic cards which I previously had from the same bank. It has a rainbow color hologram on the entire card, and the background color is dark silver. The PLATINUM wording is medium in size at the top left hand corner.

I feel happy because I finally achieved the dream of owning a PLATINUM card. My question is, do you think it is fame and fortune to own such a card with this credit limit and such given terms? Besides they are all plastic cards.

Anyone of you got the same terms for your PLATINUM card?

oh boy. the way that you have just describe your platinum card (how you scrutinise its details) mimics precisely how i, articulately, describe gorgeous looking gals...

for the love of God, it is just a blinking card!

Mathematically speaking, that is not Ah Long.

Even if you go to bank to withdraw cash money using credit card, the bank will also charge you the same RM50 charges. So where got any difference?
*
rm50 is pretty acceptable, i reckon. considering the fact that CBA charges something like a 20-ish% rate for cash advance.

i have no qualms in regards to your religious believe or life philosophy or how idealistic your life has been, since your platinum credit card enthronement . however don't you think that this is the wrong thread to be preaching elements like these?

Just return the crack card to them, say the bank should give better quality card and keep on talking and complaining, they will tak boleh tahan and give you replacement la....... hahahaha. If the card is crack but still usable, use a strong magnet (form hard disk), destry the card information inside the chip la. If to be secure use 4 magnets and leave it overnight, sure guarantee 100000% the information went bezerk.

AFAIK, banks will typically replace damaged and faulty cards free of charge (in which they retain the exact card number combination et cetera). however, if the card is lost or stolen, the bank may, however, inflict upon you a fee (which makes perfect sense IMHO)

I have another question. My CC Visa eagle hologram destroys overtime as the friction with the card machine. How to prevent the eagle to be killed? If put a layer of laquer, then it may risk a fake card identification, if put celophane tape then look funny and lame. How? Thanks for any feedbacks.

If just RM10 ok la, give them la. Just get a shiny card and showoff to people behind your queue at Tesco or other places.

I wonder when all CC will be metal made like Centurion or Black Card. Walaueh...cool.

Added on July 15, 2009, 10:11 pmFiberglass to replace plastics also a good idea. I watched on Astro that a type of carbon fiber that will retract to it's original shape when dip into hot water and is harder than metal. Used by NASA projects. Thats COOL !

oh boy, you must really enjoy those moments, showing off your credit card eh?

this isn't a personal attack, but seeing how using a shiny new, platinum card caused you to beam with joy, it must really take a minimal effort to appease you.

anyway, a layer of cellophane tape will not do justice to your card. i reckon a 20mm translucent plastic container (where they have those magnifying glass effect) will be a more feasible option.
