No supported since its didn't mention in Dell website.

No to mention reflect light. I very like glossy screen(TN) color compare with matte screen(TN). The color is nice. very nice.

In My personal view  blush.gif

I don't like glossy screen, when something very light like light or whatever made the screen reflection that time I'm headache.

QUOTE(toottut89 @ Oct 6 2009, 12:34 AM)
which shop in lowyat has viewsonic vx2433wm and aoc angelo to compare.  am planning to head down this coming thursday.
*
Actually it is hard to compare because those shop will use a video booster to separate one video signal to more. Thus, all monitor were using same resolution (18.5", 19", 20", 21."5" , 23.6" all monitor together). If a 24" monitor running @ 1360x768, you not able to see the best quality right wink.gif

QUOTE(johnkor @ Oct 6 2009, 12:55 AM)
why ask me go for second when i can get it new cheaper ?
*
Bro, you pay what you get. RM400 probably able to grab 18.5" - 20" monitor. If you want larger size monitor, increase your budget can settle it.

Wanna ask, DVI is the graphic card socket rite?
If LCD no DVI, but got HDMI, then hw the graphic card socket connect to that LCD?
Muz buy converter? Or the converter comes with the LCD ?
Haha, thanks in advance nod.gif
*
A converter will solve this problem and the converter need to buy separately.

QUOTE(tang_cw87 @ Oct 6 2009, 10:10 AM)
Does Dynamic contrast ratio plays a difference?
The HP2309m that I'm considering has 3000:1
and the Samsung P2450 has a whooping 70000:1!
*
Contrast ratio the measure of difference in light intensity between the brightest white and the darkest black. Higher contrast ratio have better color representation than one with a lower contrast ratio. For P2350 & 2309M, both has 1000:1 static contrast ration, but P2450 has 70,000:1 DNC while 2309M is only 3000:1 DNC.

QUOTE(c2s @ Oct 6 2009, 10:11 AM)
i will defintiely go for angelo, if there are any stock left sad.gif
waiting for more than 3 months already.
anyone know which shop in butterworth/penang is selling ?

The result was really stunned me, the backlight bleeding was really sweat.gif doh.gif shakehead.gif . But its doesn't affect me in daily usage, or may be my eyes can't discover this problem.

Compare Angelo with my older monitor, this monitor is huge better. Talk about the features, height adjustable and motion & touch controller. With the height adjustable, I can easily adjust the height to suit my sitting style & position. For the motion & touch controller, it make me easily when I want to change any setting of this monitor in dark place. When I move finger to that control area (without touch the monitor), the button's light will turn on so I will know the function of each button. I guess you can't find this both features on other brand monitor with RM700 for 24" !
Attached Image

I don't like Samsung SW series monitor (tested 2233sw & 2333sw), its look blur & dimmed. When set the B&C to below 50, its look more blur & dim. If B&C too high, it hurt my eyes. Angelo don't have this problem, although now my B&C setting are 25. Here is my monitor setting:
Luminance:
Brightness: 25
Contrast: 25
Eco Mode: Standard
Gamma: Gamma1
DCR: Off

Color Temperature:
Color Temperature: Normal
Red: 38
Green: 41
Blue: 63

Color Boost:
Full Enchance: Off
Nature Skin: Off
Green Field: Off
Sky Blue: Off
Auto Detect: Off

Picture Boost:
Frame Size: 14
Brightness: 50
Contrast: 50
H.Position: 0
V.Position: 0
Bright Frame: Off

Extra:
Input Select: Auto
Auto Config: Yes
Image Ration: Wide
DDC/CI: Yes

I'm using HDMI cable + DIV->HDMI converter & Winfast 8600GTS.

That's all what I wanted to share, I would like give apologize if my word made any offense caused. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

That is my mouse cursor sweat.gif , dead pixel should be a small dot with black color.

Hmm... I think I wanna do a retest on my AOC as well and see whether there are such issues or not hmm.gif If there's excess time, I might also take pics of a full HD demo video used for Samsung's LED series LCD TVs biggrin.gif
Color Boost makes everything look artificial, and the settings for Picture Boost does nothing unless you enable it. Picture Boost is kinda like Color Boost, only difference is you can configure which part of the screen will be "boosted" so to speak.
*
Bro, mind share your monitor setting ? tongue.gif

Well, seems like that AOC 24" has lots of problems huh?
If and only if samsung has hdmi thingy on a 22" monitor, i definitely buy Samsung ones...
Awwww, dilemma time lol..
*
What problem did you see ? rclxub.gif I don't have any problem with my Angelo.

QUOTE(mitodna @ Oct 12 2009, 12:31 AM)
@johnkor, what do you referring to?
isn't 2233SW is better in term of resolution?
*
2233sw is 21.5" monitor, with resolution 1920x1080(suppose in 24 monitor). This hug resolution put in small monitor, all the thing you see may small and get tire easily. Thus, I'm not recommend this monitor.

QUOTE(toottut89 @ Oct 12 2009, 03:39 AM)
aside from aoc, why not viewsonic vx2433wm, or even asus VH242H?
*
Because there less people using Asus monitor which not master in produce monitor, you hard to find this. But you still able to see 2433 user.

actually its better when u are gaming.
they put so much pixel on a small size monitor it'll make the game looks crisper and u have less jaggies since the pixel is cramped so tight like that.
plus u dont have to put AA setting so high and u can have the extra performance.
*
If so, that will only benefit on game. For office, internet browsing not really recommended.

I also have my fair share of bad experience with samsung  LCD monitors .
1st time sent took them 3 weeks to repair , then i pick up it lasted 3 days the problem back . Then send for repair again , took another 3 weeks . Sold it off after that .
Then i bought a Dell LCD , lasted me  2years then the power button give prob , call them up 2 working days they gave me a replacement LCD no questions ask . Thats what i call good after sales service !
*
Thumb up for Dell ! I hope AOC never provide the services like Samsxxg.
