What about treating the fasting month as a month of intermittent fasting, which it kind is in a way if you think about it. I mean, so long as you manage to at least consume enough calories for maintenance during the "feeding window", your gains won't take that big a hit, amirite? The only problem I see would be dehydration if one trains during the day since you can't get any fluids in. If you train at night then that's ok. I'm not a Muslim, nor do I fast on purpose, just my thoughts.

This is a very good suggestion and this is what I will don since I've always done IF. But, to try whether it is better to stop working out or continue with some modification to the diet and workout, I will put myself on an experiment. I'll fast early biggrin.gif

Anyone knows how much gain would be lost if we stop workout for 1 month?

How much gain? A lot, if you didn't control your diet. You have to adjust your calorie maintenance and eat accordingly. If not, your strength will diminished, your muscle will becomes smaller as what just happened to me cry.gif

ahlan wasahlan ya ramadhan.. next week gonna start fasting.. thinking of incorporate more cardio session after sahur.. is it a good time to cut? to reduce bodyfat %

This would be the best time to try Intermittent Fasting if you are looking to cut. 16 hours of fasting is far more longer than Ramadhan fasting but you can't drink water so fasting would be much harder.
