yea the 5530 AP is selling at 740rm here...i waiting for grey on black one.

i was 'smart' to buy AP SE G900 w/ card, even that one cost me like rm900 (still, i got it the cheapest even compare to KL price then...why AP is wise? heck, like i said, bot the SE barely a yr ago, n now i want scratch the itch of a new phone already...imagine getting a original G900 at rm1400 rofl....but i had a feeling im gonna use tis 5530 for a very long long time....but that was the feelin i had too, when i first got the G900....lol imagine ppl who spent thousands of ringgit on a new phone n resist the itch for new phone...but then again, unlike me, theyr the high income group lol

Hi everyone.. can someone pls tell me what is the difference between the normal Nokia 5530 and the US version?
I just saw the 5530 on sale at Amazon for about rm515 after conversion (i am located in US at the moment) Amazon

I hv the Nokia E71x from AT&T and realized some functions are missing. Also before i had the Motorola V3xx from AT&T also no internal camera and some functions limited.

Now a bit scared to buy US phones, due to that problem.

Thanks for the reply AskarPerang, At the moment i live in CA and fly back to Msia once in a while. This is the reason why i wonder about the difference. If there are functions that are lacking on the US version, then i wont bother buying here, i;ll just wait til i go back to Msia then look around again. People here dont change phones as much like in Msia, and most are bought with package for 2 years. Functions are also tied with the operator. There is more variety in Msia.

Should I get this or the Tube? I might need the 3G function since certain countries' network provider require a 3G to work. Or do we get new phones with contracts in places e.g. london/melbourne?

Hi, i wanna get some feedback on the phone before buying it.. For the users of this phone, i read in nokia forums that the 5530 regularly hangs and restarts, has this problem been fixed with the new firmware or are you guys still facing the same problems? I have many problem on this phone... I have list out all the problem in nokia forum, but unfortunately, still no latest release for the firmware..

No doubt this phone is very pretty in outlook, i love it, but the back cover alway loose, the slide unlock button always making annoying sound, the camera is having weird purple color in your screen, the camera lens will have small little tiny dust in , the contact bar in your home screen will dissapear suddenly, the shorcutbar sometime is malfunction, the phone will auto restart sometime.....

I now considering to trade in this phone to HTC touch or Tattoo, since it is few hunred plus only.

What do you mean by the back cover being always loose? Does it not fit properly, or does it rattle or something? And what's the annoying sound the slide unlock button keeps making?

1. the back cover is loose when u try to operate your phone, you will notice it also when u hold it, it's not really a big deal, but it would make me very uncomfortable, i bet no one would like a loosing feeling on the back cover right?
2. The Slide unlock tab is loose also, when u shake ur phone, the loosing part will make annyoying sound....

go for 5800, 5530 got no 3g.

most of nokia phone have that problem. especially with the auto restart thingy. mine oso have that, always restart especially when listening to songs..
but woobly back cover problem sounds serious. the purple color on screen when on camera oso shares the problem with 5800.

ur set is ori or ap?? could have been the 1st batch of 5530 have many problems, but not major like the one we've seen on 5800 (far more worst on it's 1st batch, HORRIBLE i tell you)

rather a bit expensive but with 2yrs of warranty, i said it was ok

anyways, i like the 5530XM because its speaker sound quality is above average~ can't say its the best since i haven't really seen the best..

camera quality is not bad either, close up shots are pretty clear and nice..

another thing is the headset provided gives a nice bass boost to improve my enjoyment in listening to music (i'm a lil bit of a bass freak)..

however the down sides has already been mentioned up top

so, back to my point, can i claim warranty for my phone from avaxx because of 2 dead pixels on my screen?

sry i joked on ur phone predicament. i think its best to ask avaxx directly. if can, read first the t&c of the warranty before presenting it to avaxx that im sure is tgt wit the box ? so that avaxx cannot 'mislead ' u...go ter equipped, possibly, with the tribunal contact number for leverage lol, wit the name of the head director more effective n get the contact of najib too in case everythg phails...
