I think so to but scared that he's around here since he's a Malaysian.

Anyways maybe E-PL1 is a better camera for the masses - those who don't do PP and not really familiar with advanced camera controls

For me, they are both quite the same. Some part GF1 is better and vice versa.

Haix since I got the pancake, I can't find time/place/event to shoot with. Hopefully this weekend will be something productive. But exams tomorrow...only have Sunday to have fun with the camera.

Where can we get the VF-2?

After reading this thread, it made me reconsider.

I read about updating the lens firmware using Olympus master software..but my E-PL1 only came with 1 CD and that is for the iB software.

Where can I get this software?

Can only find the updates and not the software installer.

I am just checking the lens' firmware.

Anyways, the digital camera updater from the web is sufficient. And my lens is using the 1.1 firmware(20mm f1.7)

Personally I prefer more vivid color. Will provide some pictures...uploading now.

Edit: Images added

Second day with the camera, my brother took this one with the pinhole art filter. Taken with the kit lens.

Just to show the built in flash of the E-PL1. I'm not sure how to rate this. From what I see it did a great job as a fill flash. Taken with Pana pancake.

Before flash:

After flash:

No editing was done...just resized it. I believe the EXIFs are still intact. Comments are welcomed.

Anyways just found out about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/JnK-handworks-half-cas...=item335c0d0922

Yeah..but that is only suitable for indoor pictures. The pictures I took were under a tent during a sunny day. That was like the first time I used flash and was surprised with the result. It was actually not that bad.

I think this would be best... http://www.leicatime.com/a000-STRAPS-page.htm

Also expensive!

This one seems reasonable: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Etshaim-Foxy-20-Wh...=item3efdcd9ecc

No news so far. The latest would be the decrease of GF1's price.

I would speculate that they are trying hard to fight the E-PL1 or, they are concentrating on the two models that are coming.
