Yup, thinking the same thing too... Anyways, 28-84mm focal is quite useful during travel...

My future travel plans only consist of the PEN, 17mm, 50 f/2 Macro and the FL-36R. I think it should cover the basis already...

Love the E-P2 improvement compared to E-P1 not to mention the EVF...
But I hate the new color, love the classic silver body on the E-P1. If Olympus release a silver body with black grip of the E-P2, I'm definitely sold... Hehehe. This post has been edited by ae8za: Mar 5 2010, 03:29 PM |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Mar 9 2010, 10:09 PM) @ ae8za Played around with the Panny 20 f/1.7 for the whole day months ago and I do love the image quality produced and the very wide aperture. Like samurai1337 mentioned, the lense beats my 17mm in 'almost' every angle... Saw your name in the list and you are using the Oly 17mm pancake lense. How actually do you rate this lense? I want to see the difference of the performance compared to the 20mm lumix pancake. Hopefully the difference is large enough to justify getting the 20mm over the 17mm. Major problem for the lense for me (this is my own opinion), I hate the 40mm equivalent focal for my use. I am alright with the 34mm the Ollie gave. Second is, it look HORRIBLE when combined with the E-P1 (doesn't match the vintage look of the PEN)... Last but not least, I hate it that the lense will stop at f/2.8 when using liveview function even when you open up at the widest aperture (it has this stupid clicking sound)... That's why I'm sticking with my 17mm Pancake for now, that is until Olympus came out with it's own 17mm f/1.7. Hope this helps... This post has been edited by ae8za: Mar 10 2010, 10:19 PM |

To faidz85:
Good choice, the E-P1 with the twin lense package is the best bang of the buck for Micro 4/3rd right now... But if you're on a tight budget, the EPL-1 is also a great choice but you'll lose the retro looks and the sturdiness of the E-P1/2 series without losing the functions... |
