QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Feb 4 2010, 11:54 PM) Wow .. very nice bro .. all ur pictures has nice color/WB balance .. composition also look really pro la. Thanks for your compliment! Guilty as charged, I am using Silkypix bundled with GF1 CD for some of my works May I know you shot JPG or RAW with post-processing? P/S: On the other hand, the $699 Olympus 9-18mm lens seems to be interesting - wondering how is it compare to the much more expensive (at least 4k?) Panasonic 7-14mm Wide Angle lens This post has been edited by samurai1337: Feb 4 2010, 11:59 PM |

QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Feb 5 2010, 12:05 AM) Oic .. I haven't tried RAW before, too lazy to learn also There's a M43 version of 9-18 now (no adapter needed, only 155g)Olym 9-18mm costs $699 USD? Saw Amazon only US$475 and Panasonic 7-14 f/4 is Rm3620 at Shashinki. I guess the Panny is better? BTW the Olym one is four third so u need an adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035LBRM...ASIN=B0035LBRM6 Guess everyone attention is spent on the E-PL1, so this lens is probably overlooked QUOTE(razkal @ Feb 5 2010, 12:05 AM) Hello, everyone can i join this thread. New Noktor HyperPrime Lens 50mm f/0.95 for MicroFourThirds!
http://noktor.com/ Anyone thinks this is true? I'm being hopeful.. and if it's for real then I may consider getting this over 20mm pancake (depending on how the review goes) |

Discussions in dpreview.com suggest that it's fake
Update: 43rumors seems to be suggesting it's "90% accurate" though. They got an email response from the "Company" (Noktor) “Thanks for the message. The company is very real. There are a couple photographers with lenses now, so there will be a lot more images and footage along with the product launch next month. The info from google’s cache is incorrect. It was placeholder text while the site was developed. The main corrections are 480g weight and 23° Angle of View. Goals? Develop and sell the fastest lens possible This post has been edited by samurai1337: Feb 16 2010, 12:32 AM |

QUOTE(maxxspeed @ Feb 21 2010, 12:07 AM) GF1 with Pancake kit lensOR 20mm Pancake lens itself? If it's the camera+lens combo, u can get it almost everywhere now. If it's only the lens, I heard from shops and some LYN sellers that it's coming in March (not exactly sure which part of March though). I also can't wait to get that |

Summary of the recent micro four thirds news/rumors from 43rumors
- G2 (G1 replacement) and G10 (lower-end model) to be announced by Panasonic in March - Noktor to release the f/.95 50mm lens on 1st March - Sigma is considering to manufacture micro-four-thirds lenses - Olympus still committed to FourThirds (instead of earlier suggestion that M43 will totally replace their 43 products) |

QUOTE(yushin @ Feb 25 2010, 10:49 AM) Argh, I lost the front lens cap of my 20mm pancake. Anyone knows where to get a new one and how much is the price? Try to look for a 46mm front lens capThanks The price usually ranges from 50-100... and I'm too sure if it's easy to find a Lumix one (it doesn't look nice to use a Nikon lens cap on a Lumix lens and body) EDIT: try your luck in: http://www.dealextreme.com/ http://focalprice.com/ u can get much cheaper price there if u found 1 This post has been edited by samurai1337: Feb 25 2010, 11:14 AM |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Feb 28 2010, 01:05 AM) Hi all, may I know the best setup with best all around lense that can rival the Leica X1? How much would it cost? The X1 has a fixed focal lens attached to the body right? Thanks. 20mm f1.7 seems to be something to compare with. GF1+20mm f1.7 is around 3.5k (or less?) |

Not a bad price... it looks small but I guess I only know when it's mounted on a camera
More info here http://noktor.com/index.php EDIT: Available for pre-order now but I guess it would be stupid to pay that USD750 now without any review/users feedback This post has been edited by samurai1337: Mar 1 2010, 05:09 PM |
