yeap..same clan...just sent my 40d to canon again! 2nd time adi to fix the shutter button ..

set to Av mode, set the correct ISO(200 or 100 for daylight),..aim at the subject..then focus..then recompose...then snap..thats all..

40D has shutter button issue?
i'm thinking to get a used 40D to replace my age old 350D leh..
i'm also looking to get a used 10-22mm to go with the 40D, any idea what would be the rough price estimation for the lens? doesnt seem so common in msia, seldom see it on sale.. was wondering whether to grab it in SG or MY..

Yup.. will be back to SG on 1st august..
Went to Yodobashi 2 weekends ago, and i get to try the godly 1DsM3 and the D3X side by side.. it was displayed just like that and anyone can try.. u would never get this kinda shop in msia.. Lenses are free to try as well, just grab the body, and pick up any lens, and try all u want.. everything is within your access, no windows, no glass..

Ppl there got different mentality mah. They don't trash display items like many ppl here (just because it ain't theirs).

true.. Japanese are very well disciplined.. I'm having problem finding a dustbin here, but i dont see litters everywhere.. not like in singapore where dustbins have to be installed everywhere to keep places clean.

Well.....comparing the price in Yodobashi (even after the 5% rebate for visitors) with the price in Malaysia.....it's still more expensive in Yodobashi. But the choices in the store is enormous.....all the accessories

yeah.. the prices here arent exactly cheap.. but the choices available will really open your eyes.. i've been finding everywhere in SG/MY for a 46mm-> 52mm step up ring for my gf's FZ28, finally got it from yodobashi after the long search...

mine is taken from Mori tower as well.. 40th floor (Lenovo japan's new office)

I was on the observatory deck....can't remember what floor was that
Enjoyed the Art Museum as well

I stayed just opposite the Mori Tower. went clubbing around Roppongi Hill instead of admiring the night view of Tokyo as well as Tokyo Tower. I want to visit that place again!!!

yup u should get the 40d(since it's relatively cheap now) . I felt good with it, with the useful top lcd and sturdy body

used 10-20 around rm2k-2.2k

Try 24-70L at f2.8 on FF body.... crop body also can... but bokeh cannot lawan the f1.2 la....

So what's your take? 1Ds or D3??? I take both

i'm on a 3 digit model now, planning to move on to 2 digit 40D, and hopefully i will have chance to move on to single digit as well.. but 1Ds, i think it'll probably be a dream for the rest of my life..
