If you don't mind me asking, how would the 50 mm @ f1.8 II fare in low light conditions? blink.gif
*
the lens would do fairly good, the problem is the body part...ISO plays a big role in low light condition, for me i would avoid going 800 iso for my body...sometimes i wish i had a FF body =_=

not necessary that you need a FF for high ISO (though it will be good if you can have one...)
40d high ISO is pretty good too...
*
but u still cant deny FF pwn crop in ISO anytime, of coz dont take in cost as consideration la...

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Jun 25 2009, 08:59 AM)
Thanks for your reply.
I'm using a 500D, I don't mind having noisy images even at 12,800 cause I don't blow-up my pictures.
Lucky thing is that my images look noisy only when they're "enlarged/cropped".
Usually I just post them in Facebook or here. sweat.gif
*
u sure? even if u dun blow up ur pics, IINM 12.8k ISO can easily be noticeable...any examples?

actually most of the lens can create bokeh as long as the DOF is shallow and the object are properly placed. However, diff lens  produces diff bokeh, smile.gif....of course the expensive ones produces better bokeh la smile.gif

QUOTE(mr_habuk @ Jul 2 2009, 09:00 AM)
but i feel a bit awkward la when mount the 24-105mm on my 400D..coz the lens seem bigger and heavier then the body itself..
wonder how it feel when mount on 1000D..??
*
obviously u need batt grip and flash to balance the weight...but i dun like the gripping on 1000D, not very comfortable...

Hmm yea I got these in my manual too, and the aperture need to be adjusted when shooting macro or normal right? lower the aperture to blur the background??

Thanks for the bold part  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
for macro shot, u can notice clearly, it doesnt juz blur the background, its more on the depth of field, smaller aperture to increase depth of field, areas out of the depth of field is blurred...

for normal shot, its more on object, things tat r not at the same focal plane of the object in focus is blurred out...depth of field is not that noticeable for normal shots...

Opeing the aperture = Lowering the aperture value right??
Thanks for this, consume time to get it clear  biggrin.gif
For the ISO part, if the light is just nice, then always adjust it to the smallest value?
*
Opeing the aperture = Lowering the aperture value right?? yes

ya, alwayz go with lower ISO possible in low light situation to reduce the noise...

funny why ppl complain of high noise from using ISO 800 and above from a DSLR!
wonder what you guys think of picture taken from pns or camera phones!
some pns even have ISO till 6400!
*
the ISO lvl is for decoration...lol

QUOTE(sidewinderz @ Jul 8 2009, 09:45 AM)
hmm...canon 450D is pretty good too...i tried my sister's 450D and it is able to shoot at low light...the lens my sister was using was the canon 18200 f3.5-5.6....
ISO1600 is still usable with the 450D unlike my previous alpha a200...

the only issue i have with the 450D is that it hunts a lil in low light situation...other than that, its a pretty darn good camera... smile.gif

pic spam of ISO1000 lol...

High iso is usable if you dont pixel peep, it should look good on a 500*333 resolution.

As for me yeah i hate noise, i wont go over iso400 on my 450d.. hmm maybe i'm a peep too much. Anyway i dont mind to go over ISO6.4k on a paideemaktu.

rclxms.gif  great stuff.

small reso surely wont be able to notice la, but personally i would go 1800x1200 and wants it to be acceptable noise lvl...

QUOTE(168257061 @ Jul 8 2009, 09:53 PM)
why so picky on the noise control ?
why not just get an 5Dmk2 ?
as long as your picture is nice/creative enough, I don't think others will complain that.
*
some ppl doesnt like the noise, and not all ppl can afford a FF body...not that ppl will complain or wat, its juz own's preference...

QUOTE(Grajindo @ Jul 8 2009, 11:06 PM)
personally i don care whether i see those tiny dots or not.. i always bump my iso up to 1600 although i'm using 400D...haha.. rather bump my iso than using pop-up flash.. and anyone own both 400D and 30D? can show the iso comparison.. cause thinking of getting a 30D...

haha, max it out rite...lol
