Currently what i have in mind is that i want to do a spray paint for my computer casing . it's d internal part . 1st of all , it's an aluminium material . 2nd , i want spray paint flat black @ matte black @ hitam mati .
So here's d question . . .
1. Where can i get matte black spray paint ? mostly i see in hardware all metallic black >.<" 2. Do i need to spray primer first before spray black ? 3. Do i have to spray clear coat at last ? 4. Can anyone tell me d exact steps to get good spray paint effect ?
What i mean is dat which sand paper grit shud i use n all . how many layers for primer , black and coat (if have to) and do i have to sand it after every paint ? even at d last layer of black and last layer of coat ?

erm 1. sand it 2. spray it with primer... good quality one... see if can find some special for aluminium one 3. spray a thin layer wait until it fully dries than only spray the next layer... 30min interval the most important thing in painting is patience... dun ever paint the layer too thick... that is the cause of error btw... my painting sucks coz i lack of patience

primer is the 1st coting applied so that the paint can stick batter... it also cover the original colour so that the paint colour is correct.
use google?

if you put clear coat on the flat black. It will look like gloss...
So you cant put clear coat. You need to get good quality clear coat.

For the matt black, i think you have to go hunting at a few hardware shop.
1 thing 1 notice for painting the interior is that it will easily peel off aroung the area where you are using screw, eg. hard disk, fans, disk drive...... I will turn out to be troublesome in the future.
You could go for black anodize as you are using aluminium, but the hard part is finding a place to do it 4 u.

hahaha dude , how i wish i could find a black anodized aluminium plate .
regarding d peel off thingy ~ its normal to peel off at screw and moving area .
it is easier to peel off bigger part when not using primer and not sanding it 1st b4 applying primer .
at least dat's wat i think of how it works .
hmm , any other suggestion guys ? u can refer to MDPC for d matte black interior colour of TJ07 . if possible i want like dat ><"

It does matter about the primer or the sanding cause it will flak at the moving area n it will easily get messy.

sanding is to ensure proper adhession as the paint easily flakes there are alu primers available to ease your job another alternative is paint etching primer but i dunno where to find this though
