QUOTE(attentional @ Jan 12 2010, 01:57 PM) i really despise those morons who use the cheapo looking rubber case like epikcase for their phones. why want to make your classy phones like e72 looks like a 5 yrs old toy with that case? seriously, unless you're a teenager or someone in college. working adults i don't think anyone will use that case, it is just too embarassing I'm a working adult... I'm using the epikcase and I think its great. Very practical. You got issues with that? This post has been edited by teelim: Jan 12 2010, 08:29 PM

QUOTE(Triple L @ Jan 16 2010, 09:38 AM) Proud owner of the brown E72 =D Funny la, ppl of my age or older find the colour to be SUPER NICE, whereas those younger said its 'old ppl colour', 'classic' bla bla bla...wah, made me really wonder if brown is really more preferred by 'old ppl'..DUH... no offence but i don't quite like brown too but who cares what other ppl think. in my opinion, as long as you like your phone, its all that matters

Something to share (hope I'm not "outdated") When keypad is locked, press and hold optical navi key or any of the direction keys and you will get this screen. useful to check time in the dark without having to unlock keypad and look at small clock.

QUOTE(kianwee @ Jan 19 2010, 03:49 PM) Under Control Panel there's a program called Switch. I think that one can use to transfer data from phone to phone. yup. this is definitely the BEST way to transfer data from old phone to new. Even the call logs will be transferred. Added on January 19, 2010, 3:58 pmQUOTE(desmand @ Jan 19 2010, 12:47 PM) Great! Add on here, when keypad is lock, we still can on our Flash light!! Just press and hold will do the trick..!! interesting... thanks for the tip This post has been edited by teelim: Jan 19 2010, 03:58 PM

Added on January 19, 2010, 3:58 pmQUOTE(BRY7 @ Jan 19 2010, 05:06 PM) bt the text message time wont be the same ryt? i tried before... 5610 to e71 should still be the same. I have sms from 2008 from my previous phone transferred over (yes, I do not sms much and also I do not delete old sms ) Added on January 19, 2010, 5:33 pmQUOTE(blugear @ Jan 19 2010, 04:04 PM) For huge files will take forever to transfer over bluetooth.. yes I agree. but for huge files like music or photos can be done manually via USB mass storage transfer (and very easily also). For things that can't be done manually (or at least not as straightforward - like sms, call logs), "Switch" is the best way. This post has been edited by teelim: Jan 19 2010, 05:40 PM

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Jan 19 2010, 09:48 PM) i've got alot of text messages inside... n i would like 2 transfer... i mean with those details.. cos if no details, it wuold b very messy... hav no idea how to do it... if you are transferring from a nokia phone, you can use "Switch" Go to > Control Panel > Switch (for E72) just switch it on for both phones and follow the instructions This post has been edited by teelim: Jan 19 2010, 09:51 PM

QUOTE(diylover @ Jan 21 2010, 10:16 PM) hi gurus, i am new user of E72 (black) <3 weeks> in my previous dopod, the LED will flash in RED when there is a missed callĀ & this feature very helpful. but for E72, i do not know there is a missed call (when in standby mode---screen is off). I need to activate the screen to check for missed call and find it a bit irritating. Is there a better way to find out any missed call without activate the screen (press Left and then right button) ?? Thanks. the led light at the optical navi pad will blink when there is a missed call or sms... no? when keypad is locked, you can also hold down any of the direction buttons, or the optical navi button for 1.5 seconds. QUOTE(kanina @ Jan 21 2010, 11:33 PM) yay! just tested for a short while (no navigation), looks pretty awesome! searching for locations not that accurate if you're offline, i guess online would be better. i think its best if u search for location from home (via wifi), set as favourite, then go from there. will try it out tomorrow while driving to work. i think can say bye bye to garmin's hang problem adi but map not as updated as malfree maps. no duke highway

QUOTE(jackyap84 @ Jan 22 2010, 04:54 PM) hi dude, what is the different betweem integrated gps and a-gps? currently both of these were turned on in my e72. integrated gps is the gps receiver built into the phone. a-gps is whereby the phone uses the network transmission tower (this uses data connection apparently) to assist in determining your location, by triangulation or something like that. with a-gps turned on, the E72 can get a gps lock as quick as 20-30sec. without it, 2-5mins maybe. QUOTE(jackyap84 @ Jan 22 2010, 05:19 PM) For example, Garmin on e72 need a-gps or integrated-gps in order to get signal and function well? what if turn off a-gps or integrated-gps? can turn of a-gps. but connection time longer won't work if you turn off integrated gps, unless you have an external bluetooth gps (which you have to activate as well) This post has been edited by teelim: Jan 22 2010, 05:44 PM
