the map is not updated if you want to compare with the map release by MFM.. maybe they should have an agreement with mfm also hehe

yes it is. that is because the community of MFM is much more active thus the maps are always updated

Garmin is just a software and it doesn't update often, if they do, we won't have compatibility problem with E72 anymore now. It is the map which is updated often.
