I m planning to put two layers, 1st layer dampening type, 2nd layer absorption type:

Sidepanel 50x60cm 3000cm²
Sidepanel 50x60cm 3000cm²
Mobo Tray 50x40cm 2000cm²
Roof 20x60cm 1200cm²
Floor 20x60cm 1200cm²
Total to cover 10400cm²

1) i assumed hoodliner is from dynamat company not soundblok...
from dynamat specification... hoodliner is open and close foam both.... its urm hybrid i guess
so urs must be some other company

[KS] My supplier say I cannot use his company name. So it will remain anonymous~ tongue.gif
Mine is not hybrid, my HoodLiner is open-cell. Meant for sound insulation.

2) For the 2nd layer, hoodliner is expensive. Noise Absorption Mat - 1 piece (~3'x4', thickness ~1inch, Open-Cell foam) and Insulation Foam - 1 piece (3'x4', thickness 5mm, self-adhesive, Close-Cell foam)
which one u recommend for my pc, close or open? wut the difference?
NAM is not self-adhesive, so cannot stick to your PC. Insulation Foam is the same as SuperLon or Insulflex. For your PC, please use open-cell for sound insulation.

3) anyway do u sell promat <--- close type foam
[KS] Promat is expensive close-cell. If you want to use this, you can just get the 10mm Insulflex or SuperLon also can.

4) for 1st layer, dampening, i want to use dampening mat coz its so cheap, is it the same as sikadamp, dynamat that other ppl using
[KS] Cannot use dampening mat, it will not stick on vertical surface. I can still sell you if you insist on it, but I bear no responsibility for any issue/accident/problem.... smile.gif
Dampening Mat is not the same as Sika, Dynamat. Flex Mat is the same as Sika or Dynamat.

5) i dont understand suppression pad and propad, it doesnt cover the whole area, just patch here and there how to stop sound???
[KS] In soundproofing, you will need to dampen the vibration first then only do sound insulation. Propad, Suppression Pad, Flex Mat. Dampening Mat, Sika, Dynamat and etc are for vibration dampening. Foam type items are for sound insulation.
...So in your case, what you can do is vibration dampening first then sound insulation.

bro, for 4 doors can i just use the Propad and Suppression Pad, 2nd Layer using just Insulflex?flex mat quite heavy... insuflex is it the same as insulation foam?
*
Yes, 4 doors you may use the combination of Propad and Suppression Pad. This is 1 layer.

2nd layer where you want to stick? Door trim? Or the layer with holes for the doors?

Yes, Insulflex and Insulation Foam is the same.

For door trim, you may apply 1 layer of Flex Mat first. Then only overlap with Insulflex Foam. Guarantee nice effect~ ! brows.gif

for door trim, if i just use the insuflex will it still work?
*
Yes, it works as well. But since you plan to install ICE... would suggest to add in dampening material.

...The choice is yours. You won't need to too many Flex Mat to cover the whole surface, for me I would say 1 box per door trim should be sufficient.

Sorry bro, no picture available for Wira SE. For front hood, u can always use hoodliner. ...definitely work better than those 10mm close cell foam. I have many ways of doing doors and rear trunk area. Maybe u can pm me ur budget, and I will try and offer u something.

My review on getting Soundproof from MyWifeCar :

excellent communication. delivered my stuff as mentioned. Many thanks for his assistance for getting the STP soundproof that I need.

Pictures are below. Poison stuff.
STP Crystal -> to absorb the irrelevant speaker waves from the component speakers.

STP BTP Gold -> to absorbing the sweak sound from the plastic door panel.

What is your plan? How many layers you plan to apply?

Do you have any budget in mind? I can recommend easier with a budget.

My recommendation is 2 layers. Propads+Flex Mat+Insulflex.

If you have better budget and want to try STP, also can. Just let me know. smile.gif
