I am looking at 4 x Flex Mat and 1 box of suppression pad (20 pcs). How much would that be? Between the flex mat and  the suppression pad, which is more effective?
*
Sorry bro, the 20 pcs box of Suppression Pad is not available at the moment. I only have the 10 pcs pack.

Flex Mat and Suppression Pad, the effectiveness of the materials depend on where and how you apply.

I am planning to put the flex mat on the doors and the pad on the wheels. What is your recommendation?

For fenders, please consider my fenders package. It is a proven solution with positive feedback.

For doors, you might need 8 pieces of Flex Mat. But may I know what car are you driving?

Added on September 6, 2011, 12:18 pmHello Bro IceFlame21,
For myvi, I would suggest to concentrate on firewall or front flooring first if it is engine noise. I didn't do any bonnet thing for Myvi...only for firewall and flooring. No engine noise issue for me.

Mind asking your myvi is not the lagi best one right?
so... should be the same biggrin.gif

I read through almost every page here.
Got a few questions. (maybe a lot)

Fender's first - Your way no need to take off the fender? How did u do without removing the fender? Won't it be blocking? So for fenders, u used Insulflex, suppresion pads and noise plug? to-almost-remove the tyre noise?
So Fenders covers up the Tyre noise and to cover up the Road noise need to do the whole floor pan right? How did u do the floor pan? u removed all the seats and the carpet seems sticked unto it?

Yeah, I think I said wrongly. Paiseh, is the engine sound that I don't want outsiders to hear, haha. Not when I'm sitting inside the car biggrin.gif
So should soundproof front hood right?
What materials should I buy from you to arrest that problem?

Lastly, been always curious how to u guys remove the door panel?
There is no screws... how to remove it O.O

Ps: total noob here, but will try the best to DIY on my own tongue.gif

KS>Yes, mine is year 2006.

I read through almost every page here.
Got a few questions. (maybe a lot)
KS> A few = 3 questions, yours are freaking a lot.  laugh.gif

Fender's first - Your way no need to take off the fender?
KS> No Need.
How did u do without removing the fender? Won't it be blocking? So for fenders, u used Insulflex, suppresion pads and noise plug? to-almost-remove the tyre noise?
KS> Access the fenders via banana leaf. No blocking. Yes. Actually very near almost no tire noise, you have to listen very hard to hear it.

So Fenders covers up the Tyre noise and to cover up the Road noise need to do the whole floor pan right? How did u do the floor pan? u removed all the seats and the carpet seems sticked unto it?
KS>Yes. Floor pan use Flex Mat and Noise Absorption Mat. Yes, remove seats and the carpet can just flip aside will do.

Yeah, I think I said wrongly. Paiseh, is the engine sound that I don't want outsiders to hear, haha. Not when I'm sitting inside the car biggrin.gif
So should soundproof front hood right?
What materials should I buy from you to arrest that problem?
KS> No idea, and don't think it is possible. The bottom of your engine will leak the noise also. Why? You fix turbo is it?

Lastly, been always curious how to u guys remove the door panel?
There is no screws... how to remove it O.O
KS> There are 2 screws, very simple to remove only. No problem teaching you when COD.

Ps: total noob here, but will try the best to DIY on my own tongue.gif
KS> Yes, I know you are noob.  laugh.gif    ICE fix already not?

I got use STP also, but just to show off. But STP Gold and STP Bomb is a very very good product.

Want engine quiet buy Nissan next time. laugh.gif

Don't worry about the doors, very simple only as long as you willing to sweat and hold the screwdrivers.

Access banana leaf via banana leaf lor, there got screws also. If you can get full access to banana leaf via front hood, I sembah you.

May I ask if your muffler is stock or you have already changed it?

You can try soundproofing the floor... from firewall to the rear.

Or you can try a cheaper alternative by changing the exhaust back to stock.

Because in your case, the door might be a problem too.

May I suggest that you find out where does the noise come in from, then from there deal it the noise.

I'm quite sure the sound only comes from the muffler because piping and extractors wont be making loud bassy noise. Do you think soundproofing the trunk floor is sufficient? or do I need to soundproof the boot too.

Your car actually is quite small, so the sound impact will be quite obvious.

My experience, doing trunk only is not sufficient. What do you mean by boot?

Would suggest the best way is to do the whole flooring.
