QUOTE(koinibler @ Dec 19 2010, 11:07 AM) Pioneer VSX-819H-K. It has 3 hdmi input, 1 out. Already tried a lot of different thing in the past 5 month. i'm using the same AVR like yours and its working fine in my environment....love to change it, but i'm too far away from KL.(I'm in KK) my setup Xtreamer Pro with 4TB HDD inside (now running firmware 2.5.2) -> Pioneer AVR (Harman Kardon HKTS 11 BQ Speaker) - FUll HD LCD...no issue playing DTS-HD and TrueHD stuff...all connected using HDMI mine telling me how u setup yours? maybe i can guide/help you.... p/s: HDMI in 1 -> Xtreamer Pro HDMI in 2 -> Astro Byond (but i rarely use this / normally i plug my byond direct to my LCD) HDMI in 3 -> Use to hook up BD player but now left open HDMI out -> to my LCD TV This post has been edited by soulquarianz: Dec 21 2010, 09:59 AM |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Please do this in Xtreamer Pro Setting under AV, 1) have you enable HDMI audio to ON? 2) have you set the Digital Output to DTSHD, TrueHD etc? 3) Change TV system to HDMI Auto 4) Turn off 1080p 24hz option - if u intend to play HD sound if not then turn it ON If still no sound then try changing the HDMI cabel from Xtreamer Pro to AVR - (although the HDMI actually the same sometimes it might have compatibility issue so perhaps get another HDMI cabel - if possible get HDMI v1.3c). by right with all these setting you're able to play and watch movie with 5.1 sorround HD sound via HDMI in your AVR (speaker). hope this help |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Bro before you buying HDMI cabel, try this setting in your AVR first (but make sure u done the setting i told u earlier in your xt-pro) 1) Get/find/read the AVR Manual (go to chapter 5 page 40) Make sure u set the HDMI setting to AMP (means audio signal out from this receiver) and not THRU hdmi setting use amp auto delay is off. To go to this setting use the remote, Press Receiver t hen Press Audio Parameter Button, then use the up / down button till u see the hdmi option. then use the left (<- ) / right (->) button to select AMP. then on page 41, read how to enable the sound via HDMI under Choosing The Input Signal. meaning if u use HDMI IN 1 u should see the H sign or else u will see the A/c1/01/02 if using analog/coax or optical by right u should be able to output your sound via HDMI to your AVR. Do let me know the outcome ! |

QUOTE(koinibler @ Dec 29 2010, 06:15 PM) my hdmi setting is always set to AMP, and check again last 2 night, its still AMP (i had no other media that use hdmi) also had tried choose the correct input signal, but its wouldn't stay at 'H". only a couple of second on 'H' then, its going to change to 'A' so frustrated. btw, do you use hdmi cable that came together with the XPro or you use other hdmi cable? QUOTE(koinibler @ Jan 4 2011, 05:25 PM) Unfortunately, there are still no one answer me on official Xtreamer forum; i'm quite puzzle with your problem...could you slot in the hdmi from xtreamer at different ports using the new cabel? also can u please try changing the HDMI out to your LCD aswell (play around with the HDMI cabel - maybe use the new cabel from AVR to LCD and the old one from AVR to XPRO) also try to set it back accordingly. am I the only who has a problem of unable to choose HDMI auto As for your xtreamer pro. when u do the upgrade via emergency firmware did you do a MANDATORY reset to defaults then turn off everything (unplug the power plug) for 10 minutes or so before turning it on? btw the new firmware seems to have fix the VobSub ! but u can meddle with the font. at least its working now hehe. tested playing mkv with TrueHD and DTS-HD and no audio drops (24fps option can be turn on when playing TrueHD but have to turn off if the movie contains DTS-HD audio). However still facing issue with DTS-HD over m2ts file (audio drops every few minutes sometimes second) but no prob with TrueHD in m2ts. |

QUOTE(hdwarexpert @ Jan 5 2011, 11:34 AM) Yes, try using this way or try Emergency FW2.5.4. Sometimes, if your AVr has Firmware update, it may solve this problem too. i dont think his AVR got issue..i suspect the HDMI (cabel) handshaking itself...coz i'm using same AVR like him and using XT Pro and everything works accordingly....also maybe he got faulty XT Pro? i think he did follow my advice on setting up the AVR also in the Xt Prothats why i ask him to play around with the cabel. make sure the words H appear if hes using HDMI in the AVR thats mean audio and video is carried by HDMI to AVR from Xt PRO. All the cabel i'm using is HDMI from Pioneer (got free when buy AVR), LG Gold (when buy LCD) and AC Ryan (friend gimme his coz he went to buy brand monster cabel hdmi). |

QUOTE(koinibler @ Jan 8 2011, 11:24 AM) from factory setting, I always do upgrade by emergency firmware; unplug everything for 30 min as their guide and recommendation. hmm actually u still can select HDMI AUTO if u connect the XPRO to AVR TO LCD at least its working in my setup. yours really weirdlah...btw so is't working now? can u get HD sound via HDMI to AVR?But still can't solve the hdmi problem, fw 2.5.4 is no different. thanks to soulquarianz, now i know that actually my problem is I can't select [HDMI Auto] on TV system. I only can select hdmi auto when I'm connecting hdmi cable directly to tv, but not to avr. |
