but it really feels slow when you use your mouse on steelseries qck+, in my opinion, i don't think it's considered as speed, looks more like precise to me though

i have both goliathus control and speed edition and in my own opinion i like the control one better....if u wan me to describe the difference is kind of hard...jus go AllIt and feel it yourself and if ur not sure which is better for u...jus grab bth and try out...lolz....like me

cayse i got the speed edition free from cyberfusion 2009 for having the worst mousepad....XD
then i bought myself a goliathus control standard size for rm55...XD
after i found out i like the control 1...i sold my speed edition for rm30
so means i onli spend rm25...

Your case different, cause u got the speed edition for free.. If those that didn't get it for free.. Have to buy both.. Isn't the price RM110?

can grab a speed edition from Mika...price at RM35 and for control, can get at RM45...so around RM80
btw...the one from Mika is the WOW edition one

Err.. just wondering, why no one recommend copperhead but DA ? and what makes ppl feel good about DA actually?

i think copperhead good for me is becoz it has faster DPI and more buttons on the mouse + on board memory, but it seems like so many ppl complain about copperhead ~_~

btw, how bout exact mat / goliath / and sphex mat? what are the differences among these 3.

and lastly, who is Mika ?

you can get a copperhead if you want, many ppl go for DA coz it feels very comfortable for right-handed users.. and oso its pretty nice for FPS games... RTS i think u can go for the copperhead..

i use CH for FPS...cos i prefer symmetrical / ambidextrous shapes.
i can use DA also...but my accuracy drops just a little...and i feel the DA hump is too high...but Mamba one is nice

like i said...its my reccomendation cause i find DA more comfortable then CH
and also...Mika is a seller in the garage sales section where his price is good for Razer products
it is up to your choice for the selection of mouse...some may find krait is better for them then DA....

Ain't the shape same? Or is it because of the side indents on the mamba that makes it just right? Btw, on the left indent on the mamba, whr does your ring finger lies? On the indent or above it?? Any idea?

Hmm got a question. Got a DA recently and I have a few questions:

1. When I install the CD that came with it, the version it says is Driver Ver 1.08 and FirmWare Ver 1.27. Is that the latest stuff for the mouse?
2. Tried using the mouse on COD4, wanted to set the V key on button 4 but when I go into the game it doesn't work. Any idea how to solve this.
3. Was messing around with the settings and stuff on the "interface"(dunno whatchamacalit) and I'm confused between the sensitivity bar and the DPI bar. If I set for example 1800 dpi and master sensitivity to 4-5 (using a laptop screen), I could get the same "feel" when I set 900 dpi and master sensitivity to 7-8.
4. Another question about sensitivity, what is the difference between master sensitivity under the advanced tab and the sensitivity in the sensitivity tab
5. Any idea how to set other dpi other than the given 450, 900, 1800
6. Is it me but I don't notice a difference when I repeatedly press the key which has the "On-The-Fly" sensitivity button.
7. Been reading through this thread and wondered if I could just bring the DA to any place and use the settings I want?
8. What does the *.conf file do? Is it related to the question above?

Think that's about it for now. Sry for asking so many questions.

Regarding your questions above, only can answer you a few..
1. The CD that came with the driver usually isn't the latest driver and firmware for the mouse.. you have to go razerzone.com and check the latest driver and firmware.

2. Check the driver u installed, your button 4 might bind to other keys..

5. I think DA only has those 3 pre-set dpi..

That's what i known about.. Do correct me if I am wrong.. learn from mistakes right, people?

1) 1.28 is the latest, it disables prediction. Not sure about driver, head over razerzone to check~
2)Try to update the mouse driver.
3)Use sensitive of 10/10, other numbers are interpolated and skips pixels, just use the dpi numbers if you would like a different sensitivity.
4)One is windows sens, another is razer's drivers sensitivity setting.
My recommendation, use both at default.
5)No, only the 3dpi intervals are usable, if u have to use a different sensitivity, change it in-game, leave windows sens at 6/11.
6)It works but holding down the button while scrolling.
7) Yes, just install the latest drivers, do all your settings, save profile.
8)Its the configuration files of the profile u just saved/set.
