in 7.1, sound may be the same...but remember barracuda is only 5.1.
and in 2.0 mode the megalodon will destroy the barracuda in terms of playing music.

like the lachesis, the jitter is caused by not enough space between the pad and sensor...design flaw / not enough testing / whatever.
so the ring is to attempt to increase the clearance space of the mouse so the sensor sits higher.
thats why it also works better on hard pads.

first and foremost, this mouse is meant to be space saving with an option for gaming when needed, ie. for those who travel alot for meetings but still want something that wont break down while gaming on their laptops.
those who want a proper gaming mouse, look elsewhere.
the cable is also just under 1m long - by that u already know who its target is.
price wise? well look at other travelling mouses from logitech or microsoft and u see its similarly priced...just whether it can game or not...

also a slide i have says it has a battery life indicator...tho i cant seem to see any...all i see is just a blue lighted scroll wheel...im guessing its a mistake.
i also need a manual since the mouse, cable and pouch is all i got.
this mouse also has synapse, but im not sure how to change the profile settings without drivers...guess have to try numerous button combos on the mouse to figure it out.
i just hope its not the mamba's way of changing profiles.

the mouse plays a more important part than whatever mat you're using for gaming.
if you're not comfortable holding whatever mouse you're using, the best mat in the world also cant help you much if you cant aim properly with the mouse.
