Now I can try this new mouse! sorry, no pm.Look's like the mamba and the shape is like ikari Me Likey I've not been posting here for quite sometime Eh, everdying. Mind pming me about the megalodon price Maybe I can camp early to get my hands on one like i said, wait for the flyer to be released. QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Jul 24 2009, 11:52 AM) HEh.. if not mistaken, that kinda price was supposed to be expected price for Razer Mamba too, when its first launch. well, considering mamba is usd130 and megalodon is usd150...Anyways.. didn't expected its more expensive than Razer Mamba retail price... Cheers |

orochi IS a creature that looks like a snake.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamata_no_Orochi and going by tradition...the mats are usually bugs... this would imply kabuto is what is more popularly known as the rhinoceros beetle. |

QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Jul 24 2009, 03:08 PM) By think of it.. so far theres no gaming grade wireless mouse using BlueTooth tech rite?.. all these time has been RFID tech. guess u didnt read razer's description properly In other words.. kinda worried abt gaming lag wise.. Orochi is a bluetooth mouse, but read the finer print. QUOTE Dual Mode Wired/Wireless Functionality With a wired mode option, the Razer Orochi delivers gaming grade precision, control and accuracy. meaning, if u want portability and minor gaming u use bluetooth. if u want pure gaming performance - plug in the wire. QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Jul 24 2009, 03:19 PM) Err.. i guess u didn't understand what im trying to say.. not sure what lag ur talking about...but if not mistaken RFID is just has a longer transmission range than bluetooth...but for gaming mouse they both work on the same 2.4ghz band.Let me rephrase As all these time has been RFID tech. In other words.. kinda worried abt gaming lag wise.. Cheers even microsoft x8 uses what they call bluetrack tech on 2.4ghz...mamba is also on the same band. and implying by what razer is saying... basically, the bluetooth in orochi in wireless is not pure gaming grade...ie. 1ms response time. gaming grade bluetooth is 2ms response time - this is where i assume the orochi in wireless falls in. mamba wireless or wired is 1ms response time. if u wanna achieve 1ms response time, plug in the wire of the orochi like all the other razer mouses. |

k basically for response times...
bluetooth - 14ms generic 2.4ghz - 8ms gaming grade bluetooth - 2ms mamba - 1ms the 1st two are where most of the generic bluetooth and rf mouses fall under. the gaming grade bluetooth is where the sidewinder x8 (since it polls at 500hz) and i assume the orochi fall under. |

yea, 2ms response time is good enough.
but really, if someone is willing to drag their laptop around...im pretty sure their carrying bags have more than enough space for a nice mouse. unless razer comes out with a new compact laptop bag with seperate compartment for a small mouse and headset... Added on July 24, 2009, 3:54 pmactually, no need to store headset. just buy moray+ enough This post has been edited by Everdying: Jul 24 2009, 03:54 PM |

QUOTE(FidelisGVR @ Jul 25 2009, 06:30 PM) Excellent review bro! Just got my Megalodon today, and now am enjoying it with Metallica! k, back from SG after seeing LFC But, i din get the stand though.. Bummer. What the heck, i still am loving the megalodon!!! AND, i can safely say it trumps over my SteelSeries 5H v2 usb. Megalodon can handle music in 2.0 much, MUCH better than the 5H. Razer FTW!! anyway, u mean now got no stand? cos 1 thing i didnt edit into my review is that the stand is fragile...i told razer that already. i had to superglue one of the legs back...u'll see it during PC FAIR cos its the exact same one. i also notice urs doesnt have a CD with a surround sound demo and megalodon white paper...its not important tho. and glad u agreed with my review QUOTE(igor87 @ Jul 25 2009, 07:25 PM) No stand? Where did you get it from? Weird that the unit Everdying got had it, but not yours. dunno, didnt see the video @ everdying, The Megalodons that are available here, do they come in the huge box like the one you reviewed, or the smaller packaging like in Razer's unboxing video? QUOTE(FidelisGVR @ Jul 25 2009, 08:48 PM) Dunno la... Items checklist inside the box checks out though, maybe different version la. Bro Everdying, where did u got ur Megalodon? from ban leong.perhaps its from the first batch, or maybe it really is fragile. but weird thing is when googling, i only found ONE link that mentions the headphone stand...and its dead link...so for sure one other stand does exist somewhere else in this world |
