never understood wats so great about iphone cept that they brainwash all who see the apple logo into paying exorbitant prices for their stuff.

i really gotta get my ass to open up the megalodon and finally try it properly.
anyone got any ideas what to test it with? tongue.gif

imo there really is no need for a HD port.
the only reason i see why the sound card has a HD port is cos theres not enough space to fit all the four 3.5mm connectors of the barracuda headset tongue.gif

also those now with the barracuda soundcard may feel like its a waste if they buy the megalodon since it only comes with a USB output port - not even 3.5mm connectors - and relies solely on its maelstrom engine, thereby rendering the barracuda useless unless of cos you have a nice sound system like the mako tongue.gif

anyway, im going to start burning in the megalodon now.

[wts] all my headsets to fund for megalodon.

i'll probably have a somewhat proper review of it in 3 days time after i reinstall some games...just dont feel like re-installing Steam / CS again...maybe i drag it to a CC somewhere biggrin.gif

if u had done just abit of research, u would see that megalodon doesnt need any soundcard cos it already comes with one - ie. the maelstrom engine.

Cause i tested both Barracuda headphones and the sound card together, meaning i plug direct to the HD port.. All i can say is awesome sound, the headphones even vibrate because of the bass.. biggrin.gif

yes, like i said only USB.
easier to transport i guess, so u dont have to deal with like five 3.5mm connectors.
just direct plug n play into any PC.

i just wanna go confirm 1 thing with razer later...
whether the 40mm drivers in the carcharias is the same as in the megalodon...if it is then the carcharias should also be good enough for music.

if u didnt read it, here it is again.
ONLY USB.

afaik, it is not possible to convert from USB to 3.5mm or anything else.

well...if u know someone whos good in wiring...can splice the cable and add connectors since the headset is just regular stereo...
one thing i havent figured out yet...dont think its possible also...is to switch between headset and speakers without having to unplug the usb...
so thats probably another thing missing from the megalodon...an on/off switch...

if music - then forget hp-1.
megalodon does pretty well for music, cos its basically a stereo set, so only a 40mm driver in each ear, with simulated surround sound via the maelstorm engine.
barracuda has multiple drivers for front / center etc etc...so music sounds abit weird on it.

gaming? even my ancient audigy 4 is good enough and has multiple outs for surround sound.
but surround sound movie using megalodon i dont recommended, in fact i wouldnt even recommend using any headphones.
better u set up a nice 5.1 home theater system for surround sound movies.

yea no sound card, but the usb port must be powered - so either direct to casing or buy a powered hub.

G35 also requires drivers for 7.1 and looks heavier, whereas megalodon is all via the control center.
