from my experience, a.drive is more on comfort side while c.drive offer slightly better handling and better wet traction braking.
195/55/r15 c.drive is not common anymore. replaced by profile 60.

@McRyan@
you pump more than 220 front and 210 rear?
btw, the c.drive is definitely a harder ride than a.drive.
at least, a.drive outer side not as plain. lotsa' square thing design .... jk laugh.gif

thy pump 210 front n rear, skip c.drive as it dun hav 195/55 jor
huh ? wat square thg ?
*
if you don't carry passenger that often, 200 rear should be ok.
am just kidding abt the square thg. that was the a.drive pattern that easily differentiate it with others just by looking at the tires itself. tongue.gif

QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Mar 6 2010, 12:03 PM)
does anybody know what is the tyre pressure for 205/45R17 88W?
*
new shoes for your waja? which maker? brows.gif
optimum should be around 36 - 38 psi. with 1 psi lower at the back if you seldom carry weight. you need to keep the rubber as close to the rim as possible for better cornering and less rolling resistance thumbup.gif

@michael9413@
don't forget to pose a pic of the ps3. are they available in 205/55/r15?

@jolipoli81@
huh! my friend's mini of same size is running on 36 psi. so does the upgraded tires of Is200 i used to drive a month back. most of my friend(local and oversea) running higher than 34psi btw.
30psi is definitely too low but 34psi should be fine. and make sure you check the tire pressure when the tire is still cold.
from my experience, lower than 33psi on 17" with low profile tires will caused more rolling resistance thus increase the car's fc.
the closer the rubber to the rims, the better the car handles in corner... tested this in karak hundreds of times brows.gif

@Apis_LuaLua@
new tires need a run in. after the tires cover about 500km or so, then the true potential can be seen. i used re001 before and it's quite noisy too.
perhaps, due to the tread design.

@jolipoli81@
those figure in the door panel are manufacturer recommended for comfort setting but fro my experiment, definitely increased the fc due to more rolling resistance.
am on 34psi on 195/55/r15 front and 32 psi for the 205/55/r15 at the rear. thats because the car seldom carry additional weight at the rear.
if you are using the small spoke rims, slightly lower setting will compensate in rims damage when driving over potholes....
additionally, during hot days, sometimes, i pump about 1 psi lower while during rainy days, i will pump about 3-4psi higher! smile.gif

btw, micheal and cheeann already a master in tires industry brows.gif

i prefer early morning. best will be when the tire temp is still cold. make sure the car has travel less than 1km to the nearest station.
pumping when tires is hot is not accurate.
btw, 220kpa front and 200 front should be ok with saga.

thanks micheal.
btw, 400 bucks is reasonable. my odd size 15" also cost almost the same.
from the review, seems like it has a good traction in wet and dry. gonna get the 17" for my other ride soon.
was 235/45/r17. typo error blush.gif

still trying to figure out whether the slightly improves fc and better pick up was due to the new ps3 donut at the rear hmm.gif

sexy ps3 tread? well, to me, the goodyear assy is! brows.gif but i end up buying a ps3 for my regular ride.
easily beat the yokohama s.drive in overall performance!
best thing, i noticed my car return a lower fc too! still trying to figure out if it was the tyre that makes the 2 liter different tongue.gif

was actually considering the gy f1 assy as well but i end up buying the ps3 225/45/r17.
so far so good. although i don't give a damn about fc but the improvement is quite noticeable tongue.gif
in the meantime, am coming back for a pair of 195/55/r15 for my other ride.
btw, since my car is a rwd, i put the new donut at the rear but the mechanic advised me to put it to the front... hmm.gif
any comment?

how old is your car? check your steering bush or wheels bearing. if it was the base line blm, sometimes could be caused by the loose wheel cover.

if you always turn the steering at full force / turn, chances are worn out steering bush. is there too much steering free play?
