TM hasn't restore the Streamyx services in my area, Segedup, since 2013 ... I had using Streamyx Wireless for 2 years. High Latency, Disconnection a lot. Had to go through a lot of guides just to make the services useable ... but online game is still heavily lag-ish!

Been to TMPoint, people goes "It has promotion let subscribe it!", "This ______ is awesome let buy this!" but only to left the places with "TM 'bad words'".

Would keep TM Streamyx Wireless until I find a better ISP. The End

Can anybody enlighten me on why some IP addresses cannot connect to the internet at all? Every now and then I get connected properly with a valid IP address but the Internet does not connect at all. If you go to a browser, it will show page not loaded, please check this and that. But if restart the modem and it got a new IP address, then everything runs again. Why is it so?

what range of ip that u cannot connect? ip 172.245.... is not an ip.

u refresh the page if no use then reset your shitmyx configuration

It is random. For example, yesterday I got 115.x.x.40 and it didn't connect until restart to get new IP. There was once I observed x.x.x.[~200] which also did not connect, it seem like if the last number is very small or near the end it is more likely to not connect. Nothing can be done when that happen until restart modem to get new IP address.

I have the worst of luck with broadband. Been using a 120KBps real speed bloody high ping streamyx line till a month ago. Then I switched to 10MBps Maxis line. Speed increased tenfold easily and I was happy. But then my stupid TP Link Wifi dongle keeps crashing my PC. Who makes wifi dongles for Windows PC when Windows themselves say the drivers are I compatible. Switched to powerlines. Used my boss old 200MBps TP Links. Then upgrade to Aztech 500MBps. First day itself didn't work.

Now today all I did was switch the Cat 5 Cable Max is gave with a Cat 6 one between the modem and router. Boom, router crashed.

Woe is me. T.T

Streamyx in my area gets disconnected every time there's a thunderstorm. The port in their main hub either trips or get fried. I have to call the hotline every time it happen. & their standard troubleshooting will be "have you check all your cable", "have you restart your modem", "what is the DSL indicator in your modem"

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is Maxis Wireless Broadband down for now?

Tried dongle, but some error while connecting. Tried puttin sim card in my mifi, still no internet connection. Actually there is internet. But i cant load any webpage.

Was working fine today until around 3pm today.

Does anyone have face the same problem like me? Currently using the old modem which is DLink DSL-2640B. Whenever I left my laptop to download overnight, my laptop show line disconnected whenever I wake up and I have to restart modem to connect back. Any Solutions?

Before I restart modem, it look fine since as there is no red light indicated disconnect. DSL and Wireless light is on. I just cant connect to the internet(even my phone) if I didnt restart the modem. Basically wireless is dead. Please advise.

ps: I have turn off the sleep mode in laptop and network adaptor perform maximum all the time.

guys is anyone facing problem with their huawei modem that comes together with unifi vip 5 package? i have problem with wifi consistencies connection to my other devices such as tablet and smartphone. once when the page does load i will look at the modem and i notice there will be no connection. then it take about a min again to reconnect and sometime it takes 2 times to get back connection. it seems like the line keeps disconnecting at least twice a day...please any1 with such problem pls feedback....

You confused Mb with MB, both units are different.

Im on VIP10 but it's so slow that I can't update my graphic card driver. Even after they reset the port my speed only change from 2Mbps to around 5Mbps.



Also apparently being able to reach 6Mbps is supposed to be good? I would think best efforts to be more than that...

r u sure they set your speed correctly to VIP10 speed? maybe if you feel unsatisfied with it, you can bring forward this to a legal case.

Just realized there's rant sink here!!! Lol. I shall make a post here then.

As my signature below showed, I've applied for Unifi back in April 2014, and been told that my jalan (street) unifi port is full. So they put me into the waiting list.
And since my area is 4 to 5y/o, consider newer area, they don't bother to use traditional copper line anymore, all wanna go fibre now, so no Streamyx, and they put me into Streamyx waiting list as well, great
I've been forced to look for alternatives, I signed up for 2 Yes 4G accounts, and now I'm paying RM180 every month for Internet connection with LIMITED quota, can't do anything much with those quota, no video streaming, no gaming, no downloading whatsoever.

1 year and 3 months have passed since then, and guess what, from my latest inquiry from TMpoint, they said that TM has no plan to install new ports yet.

Call up 100 to complaint... waited 10 min... all cs agent are bz.... line cut off.... smart TM... too much disconnection these few days.... using vip5 now... will change to TIME very soon.

does any has the streamyx or tm customer help email?

My parent used to pay RM 110 per month on this deplorable broadband and I had suffered for 3 years and above.

Now I pay the same price for speed almost 40 times faster than Streamyx.

Anyone noticed UniFi's slow in loading websites, particularly YouTube?

Even ping's gone up for a few months already...

me too. especially during night. Hardly to watch youtube in 1080

It's affecting all sites (they take several seconds to load). I hope it's not the underwater cable issues again...
