i'm no expert. don't really think u r overweight. two main things - diet and workout.
Diet - CUT CARBO!!!! CUT WHITE RICE, NOODLE, WHITE BREAD ETC. Remember to have 5-6 meals each day, each meal dun make it heavy. this is to make sure ur body doesnt stop burning food, therefore 'working out' internally.

Thanks. It does not matter that you are not the expert. At least you know it better than me.

It is your diet for sure. Even if you do cardio for 30 minutes, more input than output will not help.

Agree here are many thread on weight loss.

Climbing up stairs is a very good exercise. I started climbing up 4 floor. I take the lift and stop 4 floor below. I increase it gradually. Now I climb up 10 floors (after 1 year).

During secondary school, we were taught what is energy. There was some complex formula (involving gravity) used to calculate energy used. The famous example was climbing up stairs. The big difference in energy use for the same distance really amazed me. If I remember correctly you need 3-5 times more energy. So, I been using climbing up stairs for exercise due to it effectiveness. Between running and walking I dont think there is much difference in energy used.

If you want to run go ahead but I walk. If you want to carry weight while doing it, just do it. I prefer to increase more floors. Running would be practical if you have shower facilities at you work place.

but they also say the potato must be original not processed wan. is hash brown considered processed potato?

The home made hash brown is not process. The Malaysian version is the curry puff. Pototes are cut into little bits then a soaked into some kind of batter. Shapped into square usually and deep fried. The commerically made hash brow may have undergone some processing to quicken the process.

Nabex,
It is not what you do to the hash brown. It is what was done to it before it was packaged.

Learning to make sauce sound fun. If you come across some healthy ones, please share it here.
