QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Feb 19 2010, 06:55 AM) i had a problem now. i try to stick to my diet, but my parents always treat me to delicious meal. yesterday just had nasi kandar + ferrero roche, how to tell them politely i'm on diet? Tell them you are on diet and also have more willpower to diet. Fattening food will always be there. Supermarket or hypermarket is fill with them. It's you who have to control not to eat them or at least not eating them often This post has been edited by kurtkob78: Feb 19 2010, 07:40 AM

to lose body fat, do you cardio (20-30 minutes is good). To build muscle, do your weight training (45-60 minutes is good). Since you have love handles, you are considered skinny fat. Truely thin people (ectomorph) dont have love handle. They have trouble to gain muscle and weight
As for protein before workout. Better take it to prevent your muscle to be consumed during cardio.

as from what I understand, protein is you backup during cardio. Normally protein will not be consume as energy because it's harder to convert protein to energy. Fat and carb is the easier to use as energy. But eating too much carb before cardio is also inefficient because of insulin will slow down fat burning process. What's more important, just do it man. dont think too much. Maybe you can search on the net about this to know more

QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Mar 11 2010, 09:52 AM) Hmmmm I think what Leongal meant is that in comparison to eating same portion of yee mee, yellow noodles, kuey teow etc, mi hun is the most preferred option among the others. Mi Hun is basically made from "rice" as well so I guess it's no different than eating rice...? I feel so guilty! Yesterday I couldn't help but finish the whole pack of Lurve that my mum bought! There goes all the calories and hard work... Perhaps I'm stressed out Jamis>> you skip inside your house or outside? if bihun is made from white rice, then it is more processed than white rice. It willbe digest faster than rice unless they add some fat/fiber or protein inside the bee hun to make it digest slower. Conclusion, white rice is better than white bee hun. You got 1.5 month to lose fat. If you exercise and diet properly, you can lose around 5kg.
For exercise try to do 4-5 times cardio per week. 30 minutes of steady jog or cyccling or swim.
For diet, eat less carb later in the day especially at night and add more vege and lean protein to your diet.
Remember if you focus and keep on track in this 1.5 month for sure you will succeed.
