Hmm..Slow down?never heard before..I thought VCore only related to the CPU stability..The slowdown must have something intefering with it
*
ya..last time i tot when oc then run 24/7 the lifespan will be shorten.and i really tot that the proc will PUFF..ssss...gone. but uncle said will only will slow down.

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Jul 7 2009, 12:03 PM)
Miahahaha, that's normal ah, every review we have to take with a pinch of salt tongue.gif

I would say that every processor is kinda like a car engine, thru the time efficiency will get better comparing when the engine is still new..
But after a long time like an engine also internal parts do wear down n efficiency will go down n dying is a probability too laugh.gif
In my opinion ah tongue.gif
*
as example
if running on stock >5ys then slow
if oc > 1yrs then slow
if oc with a vcore lower then stock ????
i hope it still will last about 2/3/4 years..

since u comparing it with a car last time..i want to compare also..
its like a man that doing a work more then average then eat fewer then average. he will die faster right?
(i cant find a better comparison with a tech-related stuff la sweat.gif sweat.gif )

No lah, he won't die faster lah laugh.gif
I had read a research where they compare a matured man with a young man in doing the same work, usually the matured man will use less energy in doing it..
This is becoz as we grow old we will grow wiser thus our body learn to do work in a more efficient way..

Since when CPU can be like humans? Can adapt to environment punya, power man.

Oh btw, my Windows crashed after a few hours with 3.3GHz on stock voltage. I just on prime95 then go sleep, tomorrow morning check, crash.

But before that I've already prime it for 2 hours without problem.

We could say the same way with a cpu i think, at 1st they tend to eat up more watt but eventually u could drop it watt usage bit by bit coz in a way it has been burn-in..
Thats why some people like to do burn in with their cpu i think, to let the cpu get accustomed to it..

*
u have spoiler the wrong part..fixed.
that make sense..i decided the speed that i want to stay..its 3.6ghz.. so will run this proc few days then will try again with lover vcore..
does priming long hrs will help instead of just run a normal "life" for few days then drop a vcore? which one more effective?

an otai here said no need prime..just lead a normal life.. i need few brains' opinion

i dont dare to prime long hrs with my board edi..since last time prime...sleep-wake up-cant boot-clear cmos-cant oc at all..
huhuuhh.
so 3hrs is my limit..and 15mins is the average..hehe..

ya.. no memtest.. i assume the slot is the culprit cuz i tried all config..but the only working config is
single : #1 or #3
double: #1 and #3

and i assumed that if the ram spoiled..cant run dual channel, sure i can run on #2 and #4 slots single channel..my bad.hehehe

the above post done in large FTT test...
