so the A200 / A300 / A350 all have a +30 on the numbering, what's the major upgrade ah?

megapixel seems same, body looks different. what else are the changes?

Added on June 10, 2009, 3:15 am*k, besides the body (look and ergonomics) and the image processing engines.

looks like twin-kit lens bundle is still there but SAL-1870 - 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens now change to DT 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Standard Zoom Lens.

i wonder why, wouldn't the 18-70 be a more attractive option?

sometimes shorter focal range equates to lesser complexity in architecture which brings to lesser CA/softness
yes, my POV is that 18-55 to 18-70, the difference very little, in fact probably too little to cause much difference between CA and softness BUT 70 does give a little MORE in zoom and numerically speaking looks better too. smile.gif

i'm more interested with the said improvements on the sensor found in the new bodies.

someone told me better not get A300, cos A200 still better in IQ / image processing. so ok la, now i want to see how A230 / A330 is.

"Think of aperture as a water tap. When you tighten the tap, less water comes in. So less light comes in so it takes longer to fill a bucket."

That analogy works too but these icons are as direct as you can get! I really hope it answers all those "what aperture and shutter speed to use?" questions.
that analogy explains the concept of light through the lens.

not the effect of it. biggrin.gif which is why like it so much.

ok, i get u...

then my recommendation

1-tammy 1750
2-CZ1680
3-SAL16105
4-Sigma 1770

Nice list. I think can add the 18-250 or something. Some of my Alpha using friends use them, which i think is really good for walkabout lens cos of coverage.

The Tam is great if you want constant aperture and sharp lens.

Personally i like the Cz but price on the high side.

no such thing as BEST SETTING for all. It all depends on what outcome you're looking for.

perhaps so...but what i mean is... usual setting for most photographer when they tk potrait shoot....
probably 'the best' is not the exact word tht im lookin for...maybe more to..erm... normal and suitable...
*
there's no way to say NORMAL or SUITABLE.

really. for example, you want the background really OOF, moderately OOF, or clear?

are you using natural lights, flash, multiple flash? if so, from what direction is the light? and how strong are they?

see, there's so many things. given a set scenario, you can use varying settings and the effects will vary, so in the end it's up to you.

BUT if you really want simple, set to P. or Av with widest aperture chosen lor. smile.gif

guys, i got some silly question lol..

can we press the shutter when lens not attached to the body?  tongue.gif
put it this way la.

can we and should we are 2 different things. biggrin.gif but will answer your question in both POV.

if you're saying "will it work?" as in lens not attached but will the shutter still function - YES.

if you're saying "will it spoil?" as in any negative effect? Nah, don't worry. or else how to clean sensor? smile.gif

But looking at the F20 flash... if the price is right, and it can fit in the Digital Holster.... I'd seriously consider it! Luckily I haven't gotten a Cobra to replace my F36 yet if not my financial controller aka wife would be screaming "what do you mean you need both a HIGH END and LOW END flash?" tongue.gif
eh i thought you all new tech stuff sure get straight. smile.gif i'm surprised you're not having F58 yet.
