there's no way to say NORMAL or SUITABLE.
really. for example, you want the background really OOF, moderately OOF, or clear?
are you using natural lights, flash, multiple flash? if so, from what direction is the light? and how strong are they?
see, there's so many things. given a set scenario, you can use varying settings and the effects will vary, so in the end it's up to you.
BUT if you really want simple, set to P. or Av with widest aperture chosen lor.

if you're saying "will it work?" as in lens not attached but will the shutter still function - YES.
if you're saying "will it spoil?" as in any negative effect? Nah, don't worry. or else how to clean sensor?
