QUOTE(H@H@ @ Sep 24 2009, 03:17 PM) Actually, the reason why PCGUK costs a bomb is because it is the main issue of the mag with fully original content. PCG US and MY both use content from PCGUK with probably only about 10-30% their own original content. PCG US is basically a shell of its former self now with only a handful of writers left. I wouldn't touch PC Gamer Malaysia with a 30 foot pole. 6 month old previews, rubbish local reviews on antiquated games that one else will touch and the majority of their local articles are usually MMO related. That cant be helped cos the majority of local "gamers" are MMOtards. The media always caters to the masses to survive.

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Jan 3 2010, 01:39 AM) Then you must be pretty young. First RTS i played was this on the PC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia_%28computer_game%29, after that was dune 2. Now thats old school. Starcraft considered as new game. My 1st stretegy was san guo where you play with numbers. Then dune 2. I thought dune 2 is the 1st real RTS?

QUOTE(Yue @ Feb 13 2010, 10:04 PM) the only way legitly you can apply towards SCII beta is through Battle.net, get your account ready... but don't cross finger yet, old timer is given a priority here... I am just betting with my old Diablo/Diablo II keyz. lul But sadly M'sia isnt included in the 1st wave of beta countries. I hope some of us get it still.

QUOTE(suikoden16 @ Feb 17 2010, 01:46 AM) Meh, I wonder when we'll be having our own Blizzcon Can't wait to get my hand on Starcraft II though (and diablo 3) BTW, anybody here is playing the beta now? I wonder if Blizzard would even consider giving the beta keys to us.. Is beta running now or like end of the month?

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Feb 18 2010, 10:26 AM) Guys, its a multiplayer only beta. No single player campaigns (Which have a lot of media like voice overs, FMVs, etc.). Of course it'll be smaller compared to a full size game But blizzard games in general consumes much less hdd space, when warcraft 3 retail was released I was surprised that it fits in to 1 CD. I guess it wont be more than 1 DVD for the full release maybe 4 gigs. Since now the download size is 1.4 gig.

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Feb 18 2010, 02:00 PM) Back when Warcraft 3 came out, DVDs were far from being the norm. CDs were still the defacto media for games. So, 1 CD was quite normal at the time. Hell, two years later, when World of Warcraft came out, it still came in CDs (Albeit more than 1). Ahh ok, but I guess it would be fair to say Blizzard games consume not as much PC resources as other games of it's days? QUOTE(lalalee @ Feb 18 2010, 01:46 PM) QUOTE(Ash @ Feb 18 2010, 03:05 PM) downloading beta now. I'm so excited but our 3rd world connection is killing my patience. Pics of GTHO!!!

QUOTE(Ash @ Feb 18 2010, 05:43 PM) Ahhhh a few screenshots to share. Took me like 5 hours to download it and also won my first ever game on SC2 Someone here is sun bathing their lives away. XP QUOTE(Ash @ Feb 18 2010, 06:04 PM) If you have a key it's not automatically tied with your account. You have to activate the game in your account settings by using the key itself. I believe if any of you is lucky enough to have a key then you can use it on your account. So I guess you have a set of keys ehh.
