I hope I get lots of angpow haha. All my money from this stupid part time job going towards an i5 upgrade. Then I have to live with a HD4650 until my 9800gt gets back from rma. Can that max out L4D2?

It doesn't take much to max out L4D2, almost the same old engine

If you really wanted to be that pedantic, you could argue that its the same "old" engine as Quake.

Well,L4D1 lasted a whole good year. Why not stop whining and get one now? At least you have another 11 months to play L4D2 (assuming L4D3 comes November 2010)

Unlike TF2, Left 4 dead replayability doesn't last as long as TF2.
L4D1 last 6 months max to me. That's also mostly scrim match in the last 3 months...

I'm not whining. I've gotten over it but it's just a nice point to bring up especially if Valve has plans for no.3 already.

Should be OK gua, the CCs running L4D2 right now are not exactly high-end machines, but still max detail etc.

I had a bad customer support experience with gigabyte mobo last time, but that's a long time ago so hopefully you get it fixed soon.

I'm still getting Random Freeze in-game. Not really sure what's the problem is.

what is ur rig oh?

Does your game crash to desktop with some sort of error?
Are you on Vista?
Do you happen to have SP1?

Never crashed to desktop..
It's just freeze a while, then ok...
Normally in a campaign, it will freeze less than 5 counts.

I'm still looking at the problem. Maybe I should re-install my GC and try.
Else, I'll have to wait till I get my 1TB, and do another backup with format.
