it's depends on what u believe in...if u believe that u can end up to be a inter-racial parents...than go for it....there r some Muslim Chinese around my place that not fully changed their name...maybe just need to add a Malay name in the beginning,middle or end of urs/theirs following with bin/binti Abdullah..that's what they tell me...cheers!!!

if you are willing to follow chinese customs when you are at your in-law's place, you have a better chance of not getting her parents to object the relationship

As for me…I will try to avoid this kind of situation as I really really love my parents a lot …Although yes you might think parents are just out dated or not open minded but still we as a child shouldn’t break their heart in that way. So, if you are still at the early stage, please let go if you can. But if u just cant (I know love is blind) Then try to compromise in term of culture and everything between the two families. I am not saying islam is bad. All religions are good but please try to respect each other culture and religion as well ( Normally guys side ). Such as go to oversea to avoid the changes on the name, lifestyle and so on……n etc
