if you wish to buy player in cheaper price in BB market, scout it during 11am - 2pm,
don't spend more than 50k to buy a player first. wait 1-2 season, don't forget to train youth, can earn money from here after sell your trainee in 1-2 season later.

Hi Nos or Justea. This is KwaiWah here and I just sent you a BBMail. Would like to give you a few pointers:

You are actually very lucky to be in division III. If you follow the advice of everyone here, I can guarantee that you will be promoted to division II and this will already mean additional $500K free for you. You will already be getting $300K to start off plus $50K for the next 4 weeks so $500K to start off with.

Few things you MUST do first:
1. Sell off all your players with salary less than 3K. They are practicall useless. Ensure you have at least 10 players though (5 inside players and 5 outside players at least).
2. Your roster looks pretty good and you have 2 potential trainees who are outside based. Which is good since inside players tend to sell cheaper on the transfer list.
Abdillah bin Soimpon (9851802)
Liao Shaoqing (9851808)

Focus on training these 2 players and try to get 1 more trainee from the transfer list. Go search the transfer list now and look for 18yo which meet the following criteria*:
Salary: min 3K
Height: max 6' 5"
Potential: Min Star
JS, OD : Min Average (Prefer if at least 1 of these skills has respectable)
JR, DR : Min Mediocre
Preferably but not compulsary Handling, Passing: Min Inept

You shouldn't need to spend more than 250K for the player above. Don't rush it, take your time. There should be plenty of 18yo players in the market now since it is the new season. Try to survey for 2-3 days to get a feel of how much you would expect to pay for the players you want before jumping in and spending money on a player. Don't worry there will be plenty of players in the next 7 days. So take your time. You might want to save the details of the players you monitored in the transfer list so that you can have a better feel of how the market is like. This 1 player that you buy will be very very important as he will be your main star if you are able to get a very good player with good potential.

Once you have managed to buy your player then look for a level 4 trainer. Make sure his salary is less than $12500 and he will be able to last in your team for almost 2 seasons. Again don't rush into buying. Check out the market price for one or two player before buying.

Also, increase the arena price to 70% of the maximum. The default price is far too low. Try to also build at least 2 luxury boxes as you will definitely sell out 2 seats.

Let's start off with this and don't hesistate to BB Mail me or post in the MBBA forum for more advise or sign up for the mentorship program.

*(6 Jun 09 12:50 pm)Edited the transfer list requirement as I was surprised to see the market for outside draftee to be so expensive this season. Had to amend so that have a bigger pool of player to choose from

Hi Cheoys,

Welcome to BB. What nick are you and what division? I might be able to provide more detailed advice specific to your team. My nick is also kwaiwah in BB by the way. So you can BBMail me directly if you want or join the mentorship program by posting in the MBBA forum (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/BBWeb/Forum/read.aspx?thread=90141&m=48)

I believe u should refer to qcs posting on what skills are important for which positions. It is already very detailed.

As for how much to sell a particular player, my advise to you if you just started, for those players which you intend to sell off most likely the players will not be suitable for other teams anyway so no point selling in the transfer list. Just fire them. They are probably just scrubs and sucking money from your income with no contribution to the team at all.
But to answer your question, you can refer to the player's info, it will show the market price for the player.

As for how many player you should keep, like I mentioned to Nos, you should keep minimum 10 but my advise is 11-12 so that you can balance your game time for the players.

Walao so many people in this forum? Well actually you can track the players you bid. Just click on the "bids" underneath the "Transfer List (New)[cool.gif" at the [b]Tools tab. Join it! Great game. I am the current Malaysia U21 manager. We're currently having our National Team Elections to select the next senior NT coach.

To -Nos- :
Players are drafted at the start of the season. Your default players are all Malaysian. I think Malaysian players bring in more income than foreign players when the merchandise gets sold...

I guess the roster i have now is considered drafted already.
Some of the teams have players with p.all star potential, MVP and superstar. I only have 6th man as the best draft. shakehead.gif

Its a good start today, i won the first game 115- 95.

This game actually doesn't require a lot of time to invest to play. In fact, prob every week just need to spend like 1-1.5 hours would be enough to check your opponents for the week and set your lineup for the week. Though I myself spend about 1 hour everyday reading up on forums and reading BB mails.

So, to answer ur question, u don't need to set something everyday. The only important thing is to set your lineup, training and scouting which you can easily set in advance

compare in skill or position?

Added on June 6, 2009, 11:35 pmHi Malaysian,

I have been a member of this game for5 seasons. In this 5 seasons, I've improved myself, in the meaning of tactical knowledge, I'm experienced enough. . In season 4, the next season after i joined BB, i hv reached the finals of the Malaysia Cup and were crowned champions of league Malaysia II.2 . In season 5-9, i am still staying in MBBA.

If you look at my own team, you can have doubts about my strategical flair, but tactics and strategy is different. Different game VS different team use a different tactics and strategy, of course different player to achieve or success the tactic. Besides, I'm good at economy, and player transfers too.

As a 5 seasons old member, I think I have enough tactical experience, and have the ability of choosing good players and give the right orders to achieve success for Malaysia National Team. Of course I need your opinion.

My commitments:

- I will keep the prospect list large as possible and follow the forms of players and raises of the stats day by day.
- I will be active in the forum/lowyat forum and share information
- In the case that I have uncertainity about choosing the squad, I will definitely ask for advice in forum
- I will make training suggestions and comments for players
- I will gladly answer each of your critiques and answer any questions you may have.
- I will declare the players in squad and prospect players in here if need.
- I will try my best to play every NT games.

below is my history/achievement:

In season 3, GinaKia finished 5th in league Malaysia II.2
In season 4, GinaKia reached the finals of the Malaysia Cup
In season 4, GinaKia were crowned champions of league Malaysia II.2
In season 5, GinaKia were one of the final 128 teams in the Malaysia Cup
In season 5, GinaKia finished 5th in league Malaysia MBBA
In season 6, GinaKia were one of the final 256 teams in the Malaysia Cup
In season 6, GinaKia finished 5th in league Malaysia MBBA

In season 7, GinaKia won the relegation series to stay in league Malaysia MBBA
In season 8, GinaKia were one of the final 16 teams in the Malaysia Cup

Having been in Malaysia Div III before, I don't really think saving for PlayOff would really matter much. The players u need to target to buy are not those with salary above $7K or anything like that. Instead it is more of ensuring you get decent average players to play in your non-training positions. I would strongly suggest instead to closely monitor the transfer list for good veterans (experienced player) at a bargain (less than $50K). Ensure the main skills are average and above and the sub skills are inept and above for the position u r looking for.

U can prob save maximum up to $700-800K but with this you can prob just get 1 player with salary of $7-8K. But that 1 player will be easily trampled if the other positions are not up to par.

My suggestion on how to spend ur money:
1. Decide on training program and get min 2 trainee (18-19 yo). If u already hv 2 trainees then dun need to buy anymore.
2. Get a lvl 4 trainer
3. Ensure ur team has good veterans to fill up the non trainee position (Don't spend more than $50K per player). This can be a continuous thing throughout the season
4. If still have money (I didn't), then upgrade ur arena size to 7K to get ready for Div II

U don't have to worry so much about promoting to Div II. It should be an easy job with the current turnover and all in Malaysia. Most likely even if u didn't win your league, you will still be promoted because of some managers in Div II leaving the game and botified.

Also, check your current conference information (At standing page). You can see when was the last login for the managers in your division. I checked and about half of them last login was a month ago which means they are in process of being botified.

If they are good enough then of course yo won't need new players. But more often than not, the current players are not all up to par. And for those that are not up to par, they need to be replaced.
