well I think its like mhy said. its like an insurance for the uni. once you graduated, they'll give it back but if you got kicked, they'll use that to cut any debt you have with the university.

I'm not exactly sure about this though. Didn't exactly remember paying any wang hemat diri, not that I didn't pay any. Just don't remember. MHY there is a super senior in UNITEN, so I guess his knowledge is pretty much credible.

Register yourself but PTPTN will be coming to UNITEN to expedite the process. Make sure to keep on the lookout of when they come. Ask frens, registrars, etc.

As for guarantor, put guardian's/parent's name.

Well disregard this guy here, don't come in to uniten with high hopes of activities, happenings, events or even any kind of 'leng's. do it like me. get in, study, exam, get my degree, get out, find a work, be rich.

what is your result actually?

Not sure about foundies as they are different nowadays from degree students but for degree

1 full sem = 4 month 2 weeks
1 short sem = 2 month

1 year = 2 full sem + 1 short sem

Foundies have 3 full sems so their semester is shorter and different from degree students. That also means their holiday is different.

As far as I know, if you apply with the officer in UNITEN, if u filled the form properly, you are pretty much confirmed to get it, just need to wait for the money. Whereas applying online is still unconfirmed to be accepted.

It was like that during my time but not sure if it's still the same.

I'm not exactly sure about the number. I did applied it 4 years back. Maybe other forumers can help with that.


As for the time when will the officer comes, there is no exact date. You just have to pay attention to the notice boards (especially in Admin building) or just ask your friends every now and then. Usually news travel fast.

Same as mine. Check and nothing related with Convos. I suggest going to the registrar and confirming your name for the convo. Me myself, I just finished my FYP (BS), so need to go to registrar and informed them I am graduating and want to attend the convo.

Exactly my thought. People refer it as in Bangi and thats how it was named previously. But the address is Kajang. Then out of nowhere they changed the name to Putrajaya. UNITEN is really, literally, no where.

I checked with bahagian akademik and they said check on 1st of july. If still nothing, go and see them.

Be reminded, UNITEN's graduate is highly regarded. Especially if Engineering course.

This is due to the difficulty of their course. But because of that as well, if you're holding a paper from UNITEN, you're going to be sought for by companies. That is if you took the effort for to find them in the first place.

Disregard how the higher-ups works (pretty bad in some case), UNITEN still gives top quality education.

Don't think so. Next week already starting a new semester. And nowadays there is one single intake per year (it used to be 2 intake per year).

As said, the almari and drawer does have a place where you can lock it with a manga, but the manga you have to buy on your own. It is fairly small though. About the size of a pen maybe? Not exactly big.

For anyone bringing your laptop, make sure you have those laptop locks/chains. There has been many cases of missing laptop and risking of bringing your laptop without one is not advisable. But the bad thing is, on your table, there won't be any holes to anchor your laptop. My advice is although it is a vandalism of university's property, make a hole under the table. The back board is just plywood. Easy to make a hole. There's a solid wood in the middle so make two holes on each side. Some of you might notice some tables already have hole but usually there's only one. I know I made one on a few tables while I was still in Amanah. Easier to handle wires since I placed my CPU on the floor and there aren't exactly any hole to let through the wires. Can be very messy and annoying without the holes. But seriously, it is vandalism. So do it on your own risk.

WoW depends on the student. Usually there will people hosting it but its not definite. Might not have anyone also hosting it.

As for open source, nope. UNITEN does not have it as far as I know.

Not really. And its quite rude to say your roommate is the only suspect. Sometime our first roommate can be our best friend till end of uni (like me and my housemate).

I'm not sure about break in, but I did heard of it happen before (my brother; his TV got stolen). There is one case in Amanah where internal of my fren's PC got stolen. CPU itself still there, but GC, RAM and Monitor all gone. And there was no sign of break in. And mind you, we were staying with trustworthy friends.

It is better to be safe than sorry.
