Not to mention to what extent can Malay actually help us aside from just communicating or interacting with other malaysian.
Have you ever seen any subject in university level (overseas) that uses Bahasa Malaysia (Melayu to be exact) as the common language? I certainly not. Maybe there is or are, but let's face the fact that English is the one that actually been widely use throughout the world in tertiary education.

And its not simple to actually translate Mathematics, Science and Economics from Malay to English. Its obviously a disadvantage for student. Time consuming. Im one of the victim.

To some extent, Chinese educationalists wanted to revert to their mother tongue (Mandarin) in teaching Science and Mathematics

And its not simple to actually translate Mathematics, Science and Economics from Malay to English. Its obviously a disadvantage for student who wants to pursue their studies overseas. Time consuming. Plus, i believe most universities in Malaysia are conducted in Engrand. And politician believed that by putting BM aside, it would cause Bahasa Malaysia to lose its value and culture? Pfft....

Use present prefect tense..
BTW, not sure if 'eaten' is the present prefect tense for eat...
If it is, it is correct...
EG : Have you TAKEN your dinner? (correct)

Doesn't the whole Malaysian accent thing consist of:

1) Alot of LAH's
2) Funny pronunciations.
3) WAN (Want/One) and only?

Example: "EI MUMMI, Y LIKE DIS WAN?"
*
Yup. That's our culture, here. Haiz.

Yup. Especially during my foundation studies. Seriously giving us student a big headache. Its not that its hard to translate and understanding each meaning. Its just that the more i realize the importance of english in tertiary education, the less respect i have for the importance of Bahasa Malaysia and its usage aside from communicating with other Malaysians.

I know the importance of retaining cultural value in each language spoken but that doesn't mean we will neglect our own mother tongue. That's what the politician perceived, which seriously got my attention and im disappointed about it. They should have know at the end of the day, we still need to 'eat rice' (earn a living) and english is used everywhere (almost). And yeah, the emerging of the usage of Mandarin throughout this world as well.
