QUOTE(befitozi @ May 28 2009, 10:42 PM) gosh i totally forgotten bout him..lol..i think anderson is far too inexperienced to be started in a big match like yesterday's..i think it would be better if scholes started instead of anderson.. and maybe berba is still not yet fully 'in' to MU yet..maybe next season, after some good training then he will develop some chemistry with d others n make some magic with the team.. n football is suppose to bring fun and peace to all..y all the violence after a match |

moderator..the highest fee paid should be change..its Berbatov -30.75M pound..your stats there still says Ferdinand..
Post Match Report: As for the last night final..united played well for the first 20 minutes, then they got panic and everything went wrong..the goals should be defend well..Van Der Sar should not lose at his near post side although he can't do anything with that Eto'o' ball's pace..and Ferdinand should stay close and headed/cleared the ball easily..if only he did not look down on Messi for his heading ability.. Credit to barca for their composure and well maintain formation..after all Pep Guardiola was a defender once..United were not in Stadio Olympico last night..Its remind us of the milan vs united game at San Siro last time..no firepower..lack in midefield commanding..SAF should not put Ronaldo and Rooney up front..changing back to 4-3-3 in second half doesn't change anything..with Tevez playing up front while Ronnie and Ronny as forward, united looks better in pressing but maybe too little too late for SAF's players. Not a single United player to be rated 7, while all Barcelona players rating are above 7..what a shame..even 31 and 35 years-old players who doesn't play regularly(cause Pique and Marquez, Pep's first choice) , Puyol and Silvinho can perform well.. Last word..where have the 99' spirit's gone..its been 15 years since i started to support united(Steve Bruce/Pallister era)..beginning to dislike Ronaldo with his cocky attitude..maybe his time has come(if he doesn't change, but damn he's good p/s: Barca should not be in Rome on the first place..Chelsea been cheated though.. |

QUOTE(animed @ May 29 2009, 12:20 AM) even if chelsea gone through i got a feeling we may lose again on penalties...we were lucky last year but won't be this year...so losing 2-0 4 me is better than losing penalties especially the fa cup vs everton...aiyer |

The flight of the ball caused Rio not to jump, i would rather give credit to Xavi for the wonderful pin point cross instead pointing finger at Rio. The team were panicked after going down 1-0, Anderson kicked wind instead of ball so its proven that the mentality is not there.
I have enough of mourning, time to move on. Had enough of the post match report and analysis. All are bunch of crap as yesterday match is the match between two biggest club in Europe, end result, one prevail as deserving winner one need to look at themselves and try again next season. nuff said. |

Man Utd players are over confident, i would say..
the first 10 min, barca was as if defending for their life.. after the first goal "killer goal"..team morale began to drop~ passing keep being intercept.. i m glad Man Utd reaches the final..even Man utd lose.. its better than not being able to play in Rome like our rival.. |

I beg to differ. We are not over confident. We went straight at Barca once the whistle blew. It just that the momentum swing to Barca after the first goal and the team can't recover from the sucker punch. Barca passing play never let the team to recover the possession and when we had it, we threw it away by launching long ball. Its not the attitude, its the flow of the game.

Anderson and Giggs totally invisible throughout the game.
We never had midfield who keep himself available for passing except occasionally for Carrick. Tis is the role usually played by Scholes and Fletcher. No aggresiveness in midfield... the oni 1 i saw are Park and Rooney tryin hard to win the midfield battle. Evra especialy is too quiet for his quality. He has a very bad season after his injury. Btw he is true.. the formation against Arsenal works because they are up against 11 babies(No offence thou to Arsenal fans) |

Just now saw replay again. If the team is not man united, I think I will enjoy the match alot. Barca passing is superb. Cant stand it, watch 10 mins and off:) And in that 10 mins, I notice yaya toure can bring the ball from midfield till near box before passing, brushing 3 united players easily. where is midfield! and its yaya toure, lol.
Before I game I thought Barca can only scored againsts la liga team. They can't even score against chelsea in 180 mins. Seems lampard, essien, ballack proved much tougher in midfield. Agree, we lack of midfield power. Just hope hargreaves ready next season. Feel want revenge d, hope can fight them again next season even though we might lose again. |
