i can come out with only 1 name... Manuel Almunia. He is vital to our team this season. Whenever he's out, the defense is more shaky than it usually is.

Barca is the epitome of homegrown players. Arsenal is trying to become barca and on the look of it, it seems that we are on the right path. Really hopeful that our young squad will come thru this year.

Tell me, 3 or 4 years ago, who was iniesta? Xavi was an outcast back then. Abidal was error prone in Lyon (that's why AW go for Sagna instead) and so was Puyol. What happened? They learned from their mistakes and move on. That's what we need to do with our team.

It takes a mixture of youth and experience to achieve greatness. AW need to address that and add some more experience to our team, especially at CB position.

ok.. enough about barca. congrats to them. btw, Henry can F*** off with his comments. I do hope we will be in the same group with barca next season ECL and pound them hard and out of the ECL at group stage!!!

well.. arshavin ain't exactly young, if you're comparing barry. So, we'll see how Glazidis work around this. AW definitely wants barry if he is available for 12M, but knowing english players, price would be ballooned to like 18M. haih...

exactly, barry didn't sign any extension last year rite? he was committed to villa for another year, and as much as he wants to, villa just didn't have enough to sustain their form for ECL spot.

Villa is really in a tight spot. They know they have the talent to challenge but they don't have the squad depth to sustain. In order to move forward, more investment is needed to add to squad depth... and that means more $$ is needed. So, they need to create some money before they can spend, rite?

so 12M is quite ok i think. Had it been last season, i think AW would've paid 16m or maybe 18m but villa not interested.

sell ade enough la. if we got 13M as claimed, selling ade at 20m odd is good enough.. then we'll have 30+M to spend on at least 2 people, sign 1 year extension for Gallas, also sign RVP, Song, Bendtner on new deals and keep eboue.

if u keep adding without removing, then your team will be unsettle. more players wanna play and creates tension instead of competition. We definitely don't want that.

Thierry Henry didn't just turn into legend. he spent 2 years with us before lighting the EPL on fire. by then, he got Viera, Pires, Bergkamp, Keown, Parlor and the rest to help him. Also, he was about 26 then. So, if you guys wanna compare our current crop with him, at least give them a little room to grow and be mature. i'd say another year for nicky and vela would do wonders to them. Also, i think Walcott will be vital next season and i hope he won't be jaded from all the international duties.

varmaelan is just the type of signing AW would pull off.. not much news about it.. and price just right.

so slow this month.. i don't think anybody is coming anytime soon. wait til end of the month/entering July. Maybe we'll see a signing or two. if we didn't sign anyone by mid july, then u guys have to wait til end of transfer window for any news.
