You can try the Mt. Cook glacier which is just an hour drive from Tekapo. I think Mt. Cook is a must go place between CHC & Queenstown.

This website might save you some money in queenstown. Check up other group buying deals such as groupon, one day deal etc.You might want to have a look on the spaceship campervan rental which you can sleep in it to save you some accommodation cost. We used this rental during 9 days south island tour, very convenience and flexible. Only paid $35/day. Cheers

i couldn't find any details on the above mentioned requirement for evidence on onward travel arrangements and evidence of funds...how much they want to see...nzd2k??zzz.....how to achieve their objective on my part??first time to europe country...

Firstly, NZ is not a European country. tongue.gif

Whether you enter what country, it's best to prepare all your travel documents, the most important document is your flight itinerary and hotel bookings. Prepare any documents that will show WHAT you will be doing and WHERE you will be going and staying in the country. If you can show that you are there purely for holidays and have all the documents to prove it, there shouldn't be any problem at all with the immigration.

Of course you can't find any details about the evidence of onward travel arrangement and all that. I believe there's no need for any extra details as it's straight forward enough to say that they require you to provide them with the evidence of what you will be doing and how are you going to do it. What they wanna be sure of is that you are not there to work on a tourist entry. Print out anything and everything, travel itineraries, brochures, hotel bookings, flight itineraries, email booking confirmations, etc.

Hi All,

My flight got cancelled and I won't be able to make it to Christchurch.

Anyone know or anyone wants to buy my Bus tickets coz I'm selling my Naked Bus Tickets for 4 people. Christchurch to Queenstown and back. Do email me at nazmy@hotmail.my. I'm selling it cheap as Naked Bus has no refund for me.

My current itinerary is:

Christchurch to Queenstown would be on the 10th March 2012.
Queenstown to Christchurch would be on the 14th March 2012.

But:

Timing can be changed accordingly so do let me know your travel date and I shall rebook for you at a cheaper price. =) No probs =)

sching: It depends on which area you are going? If it's a "wet" area, well, you'll get what I mean walking under the rain with the cold wind blowing against you.

yiyi: Yes it is.

For 1st timers, http://www.newzealand.com/us/ this would be a good link. smile.gif

Used to. Going back soon again though. Haha. Still, Dunners was a really "wet" place probably as it's really close to the sea. The Otago Peninsula is a pretty view itself, Royal Albatross Centre (all the way at the end if you drive from Dunedin). smile.gif

Well, driving in NZ itself is already a bliss (if you like views though). Actually early Autumn is a good time to go as well, not much problem there. If it's not raining and there's sunlight, we used to go out in just shorts and jandals (Japanese slippers) with the degrees hanging around 15 - 17. As long as there is Sun and it doesn't rain, it'll be fine. If it's too windy, I'd recommend something warm though. smile.gif

Still, your trip still depends on how many days you are going and stuff. Not much to do now at Christchurch after the earthquake though.

Well, it depends on how you see it. I haven't actually got the time to go through it thoroughly with my mates yet though. But for now, it's safe to say, South is much prettier. smile.gif

Am planning for honeymoon trip to NZ next month, will be a 2 weeks long trip covering both islands. Itinerary are pretty much done, just need to make reservation for the accomodations. Self drive of course, coz i wanna go to some of the best driving roads in the world smile.gif
