I was in Auckland for 2 nites. Not enough. So many things to do. I think 4 nites will be decent enough.

I stayed in Queenstown for 3 nites also not enough. So many things to see so many things to do. biggrin.gif

For me, Queenstown is definitely worth to stay 3-5 days. Rent a car with GPS, go anywhere you like. For e.g. Arrowtown, you will bypass some wine making shop, do stop there to test their wine and cheese. After that from Arrowtown drive to Coronet Peak, about 30min distance, drive to the top hill and enjoy the best view!

Yeah, about that. I saw BASE Auckland which is located right in the CBD but cost around NZ90 per nite. Food?? Not sure, I cook most of the time. Eating outside too expensive ler! Luckily most hostels I stayed, provide free breakfast such as bread, jam, butter, coffee & tea. We had fish n chip around NZ10-NZ12 depending on location.

It's ok  tongue.gif So it,s RM 200 per night? how about the cost for other hotel? And the cost of food le?  biggrin.gif

Ia!! I don't like that kind of stuff because I am a private person. I don't like sharing place/room with strangers. I make friends on my own pace.

Couchsurf (CS), my friend. My friend CS her entire one month trip in Jap. Her spending expenses only totalled RM2k for a month. Eat, play, buy and stuff. No accommodation paid at all.

QUOTE(ChaNzy @ Jun 25 2013, 11:19 PM)

Jetstar is almost similar to AA. Selalu delay & all kind of problem. I avoid this airline if I were you. I got cheated by Jetstar. When I try to book domestic tkt for NZ trip, their website got problem. Error and all. By right, they are not supposed to charge me. They still charge my card (at that time, I already keyed in my cc details) but toward the end of the booking system, their website was down. I called Jetstar customer service & email them immediately. I thought they will refund me the money but they said the transaction was done so they can't refund me.

I post it on their FB for consumer to beware of this airline.

I only stay in Auckland for 2 nites. We took the hop on hop off bus. I think the cost is around NZD46 per pax. The bus always on time & driver was friendly too.

We went to Sky Tower, Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Museum (watch the Maori performance & took pics with the Maori), Mount Eden. Mt Eden is the highest peak in Auckland. You can see almost the whole Auckland from the top.

Auckland is dirtier if compare to other city/town in NZ. I see more Asian in Auckland. Everywhere you go you can see the Chinese, Indian & Korean. Malaysia too tongue.gif

NZ also more expensive compare to Australia. I went to Australia several years ago. Even the Australian tourists agree NZ is more expensive.

tell me about auckland then smile.gif btw, which is cheaper. aussie or nz?

Ibought my ticket to NZ with MAS during promo. They charge RM250 per ticket to change date but the price when I bought & the time I change the date is not much different. So bear in mind, you have to pay the fare difference + changing fee. Changing fee is vary depending on destination. Sometimes RM100, sometimes RM200 or more. Chk with MAS for more info.

lets say mas? so sometimes, it's like buying a new ticket  smile.gif
