I think some one need to start a new thread or moderator pls help edit the first post with some FAQ regarding the beta. Else some lazy bones will keep asking the same questions even though the answers are just few pages away or can just get it from BC2 official site.

Just started download this morning around 7am, then off to work.

wow... looks like this game need a high end machine to be enjoyable. Time to upgrade my BF2 era machine.

Can download from gamearena, it is fast. It max out my line at 150-165kB/sec.

just hope that the game has not been optimised, since this is bete. Else, many gamers need to buy a high end machine to play (including me).

Hopefully tonight when I install it in my AMD S939 4400+ X2 with ATI HD4870, it is playable.

Looks like I need to get my i5 setup tomorrow.

My current motherboard is the third replacement. Bought secondhand mobo to replace spoilt ones as there is no reason to upgrade. But now..... no choice.

your rig in your sig is still not enough to run this game smoothly at max setting?

what is your average fps?

but redbull can play quite comfortably at 1680x1050 with 8800GTS, gives me some hopes.

Anyone running on Windows 7 64-bit? I am getting 4GB ram, so prefer to install 64-bit to be able to use fully 4GB.

so win7 64-bit is your main day-to-day OS? Or you have a dual-boot system? All the recent games run perfectly in 64-bit?

Play 2 rounds at Fragnetics just now. Maybe because of my aging computer... the screen shutter like hell even at low setting...zzzz...

just now manage to get 1 beta key for a friend off i3D.net but it never send email to me. Might be due to the same email has been used in getting beta key from gamearena before.

is the lag-free due to the game update?

coz i just upgrade my computer to i5-750 with 4gb ram. The smooth gameplay is heaven and hell compared with my previous AMD S939 4400X2 with 2GB ram. I dun know whether the vast improvement is coz by DICE or my upgrade.

now can play at full-HD with medium setting very smoothly. Not yet try high/custom high setting. Previously playing at lowest res with lowest setting also lag like hell.

How to check framerate? I just feel the gameplay is much smoother, closer to BF2.

I seldom fly..haha... if fly also must use joystick. Just install new setup, joystick not plug in yet.

regarding the UAV, are both attack and defend have UAV? Just now went into an empty server, only me and another guy on enemy side. I try to find the UAV control box but cannot find (i m at the defend side).

One thing good about this beta is - even 2 person also can play. No need to wait for minimum number of players like final game.

OK.. install fraps. Minimum 40fps, max about 58-60. Average around 50+. Not bad I supposed. All high setting but no AA and no anotther..can't remember...haha...

My previous pc is AMD S939 X2 4400+, DDR500 2GB ram with 4870 1GB. It lags like hell when playing at lowest setting and lowest resolution. Just waiting to be knifed in the game.

dun take it too seriously. This is just a beta and everyone will want to try new thing and need time to master it.
