QUOTE(pergilahsayang @ Jun 9 2009, 07:28 AM) Weird weird weird weird. Just around 6 days ago, my download going really slow especially around 12 PM- 4A.M . Before this, can get maximum 60kB/s if direct downloading file. Now can only achieve half of it. I can only get my normal speed of 60kB/s around 4A.M- 12 PM. So its like 8 Hours of full speed and 16 hours of sux downloading speed sob sob sob. Anyone with similar symptom as mine? I'm facing this problem too Not my torrent is not even downloading To open google, I need to refresh few times At least still can surf the net. Better than nothing I'm using 118.100 IP. Very slow. Got 60.48 yesterday Even slower. I miss my 2xx IP What is the best IP? |

Shit speed from shit ISP. Downloading from US servers and getting 1-10% of 1Mbps. Ip tested 60.48 and 60.50 both sucks just as bad as the other. Aside from that, mediafire, megaupload and oh-so-many-more US and EU based file hosting sucks ass regardless of where there are.
My 2010 resolution is to collect as much money and gtfo out of this shitty country, hell doesn't matter where because any EU country has better internet connection (even INTRANET) than this shitty country can ever provide. Maybe even some rural china because lets face it, even kampung there got fiber optic. Premium ip? *wipes his a** with it* there, now its just as crappy as any other. My cybercafes surfering slowdown symptoms starting from 1pm until late night even with less customers. Why? Very simple, most of student now on vacation, and that's the time they are online.
First Reason Yes indeed, most ISP in the world would do this and the most is only 10%. Let's guess how much bandwidth that TMNET oversold? Simple way to understand Let say, one wedding occasion can only serve 100 guess, unfortunately there are 500 guess attended the wedding. So, it will result a food shortage issue. Everyone's food must be 'throttled' so all guess will had chance to taste the meals. Whatever rant posted here, as usual they won't listen and don't care at all. What we can do is to force them to upgrade their facilities OR stop taking new customers until this issue resolved! Second Reason Without any rival in business, TMnet can relax and sit back. And with strong government support, TMNET become unchallenged now! Simple way to understand As usual, last question is, why only TMNET become the sole provider for cable broadband in Malaysia? Why other company can't get the provider license? Why only TMnet had the right to use Malaysia's network facilities? Why Why Why? Hehe.. you know the answer right? It's time to change Malaysia, vote for better government on the next election. This post has been edited by izzani: Jun 9 2009, 03:16 PM |

Feh. I'm in JB, and the speed here is intermittent. Some websites load fine, some don't and require repeated mashing of the refresh button, and some do but not everything loads (broken images, etc.).

I complained and they changed my port to a 2mb line.Only downside, it seems that I'm stuck on a fixed IP. |
