as i have been using it for years....probably also depend on nasib lah....those that explode one are some very very very very rare cases nia...

juz look at the number of people using 3rd party one...not everyone's would explode or rosak....

so..in my opinion...its ok to use the 3rd party ones...

I bought mine from MacStudio, it costs me around Rm80. Don't dare to try those Rm15 one, not worth the risk just to save few bucks.

I did use cheap one for my iPod Mini because the original one went missing, nothing went wrong though.

As above, how can you tell whether an ipod touch is 2g or 3g? I know that the 3g has extra features like earphone with mic and faster processor and has a new 64GB. Let's not talk about the 64GB cos that would be a dead giveaway. Let's compare the 32GB from the 2g and 3g.

Say, you are going into a store to get the 32GB 3g ipod touch. How can you physically tell you are getting a 3g 32GB and not a 2g model? Are there any part numbers to cross-check with?

I remembered someone mentioned the way to differentiate them before, you can only differentiate them physically based on the words carved at the back, the 3rd gen being shorter than the 2nd gen one(less words). the word 32gb is also smaller(or bigger, forgot ady).

I also found out another piece of info. You can tell by looking at the part number i.e:

Mx***LL/A

x = C (3rd gen)
x = B (2nd gen)

So in the case of 32GB touch,

3g = MC008LL/A
2g = MB533LL/A

not sure about better sound quality but from what I know, the 8gb touch 3gen is actually a 2nd gen 8gb with updated firmware and new model number.

how to do this??i had order the ipod and pay by using bank transfer..i take a cash deposit form,fill in and the n go to the counter in RHB bank and tell to insert the payment reference no. and all settled just like that...Is it right by doing this way??please help me!!

Getting an ipod touch 32G 3G from switch shop for RM1199.

They offer to add RM119 for wall adapter + screen protector + plastic cover protector + wipes (think this comes with it :/) is it worth it the add ons? I'd really want the plastic cover protector, cost RM45 by itself.. hmm..
