@SKisaGooner,
Nope.
- Ship means to confirm your credentials, assign your order, and pack the product. (This takes place at the factory, in most cases Shanghai.) That is what the Apple Online Store quotes.
- Delivery means that the assigned order starts to move out from the shipping facility, and travels via DHL (most of the time) to the Malaysian customs, and when the order is cleared, it shall continue it's journey to your doorstep. (or wherever you assigned it to go)
This whole shipping thing depends on the product your order, the CTO options you put in (engraving, in this case), product availability, and most importantly luck.
My advice for shipping your iPod is: perform your order on a Sunday night. Usually if there isn't anything extra, it will always ship in time, and sometimes even earlier.
I had ordered my PRODUCT (RED) nano around 2 months ago, and the total time it took after i placed my order was 2 working days. The Online Store at that time quoted it as a week's shipping.
I had very good experiences on the shipping times and i'm sure that many forummers here have experienced it too.
Besides, at least you can look for that idiot who claimed it took a month and slap the freshly engraved iPod on his face. That should make your day
